today marks 2 weeks hard mode. I woke up with crazy brain fog. I had a dream I relapsed too. I was so relieved to wake up and realize it was only a dream. I had a coffee just now and I'm starting to perk up a bit. I've been going to bed a little late, so that could be why. withdrawal symptoms probably?

Yep. In some ways it's like the "sign of contradiction" in theology. The theological concept is as you start to live a more moral/more pure life, various forces (human and spiritual) will work to drag you back down to where you were, so when you start to experience these contradictions that make you doubt your new path, you can actually take it as a sign you're doing the right things. Similar here; the withdrawal symptoms make you want to relapse for relief, and can even make you wonder whether rebooting is the right choice. When you experience that, you can remember it's the disease fighting against its own death, and a sign you're successfully killing it.

thank you for your insight. it's interesting you say this, because right now I feel like I'm starting to see some of my goals come to fruition. Slowly but surely. I'm attracting deseribale circumstances and people. I also have an intuitive feeling a woman will be in my life soon. I must push forward. I'm breaking a paradigm that has hindered me since I was 13 years old.

I think a big part of it is that you are withdrawing a stimulant. PMO stimulates your nervous system. You heart rate increases, as you pump out adrenaline.

So, when you withdraw the stimulant, your adrenals get a rest. Now they need to recover a bit.

PMO is like beating a tired horse. It needs to rest, but you don't let it. This is why people often get worse for a while when they first stop

I really think PMO and PIED are intertwined with adrenal fatigue.
