PMO is something that I rarely have had the courage to ask for help with. One reason is that I am a man who doesn't like to ask for help. Another reason is that I feel ashamed of admitting that I have a problem. And lastly, I feel that my situation is unique, as I'm sure many of you have felt, and therefore I fear that I will be misunderstood. I have been doing pretty well in my opinion, though I keep having moments of weakness, resulting in a the whole next day being wasted in shame and self-pity. But I have been going through some pretty stressful times the last few days with my family, and stress is usually a trigger for me. Today as I felt my mind being drawn towards sexual thoughts, I asked myself what I can do to change the course of my thoughts, which would in turn change my actions. Well I've recently started at a different forum for support in another area of my life, and that good experience with online forums gave me the courage to join this forum which is for something much more personal. I am extremely curious to hear other people's experiences and I hope to find others who can relate with my experiences. I almost never talk about this kind of stuff with the people in my life. So I expect this website to be of great comfort and learning for me. Thank you, Fapstronauts!

you can talk very open here.

this forum has enormous knowledge about pornaddiction.

my best advice for you is reading posts - in my first week i read many posts.

ask when you have specific questions.

if you are serious with quitting porn - you will find the right methods here. good luck!

Hey KyleO! Feeling like you're in a unique situation is totally normal, I'd say. Since fapping is *definitely* not something that's discussed much in the mainstream, it's, of course, a taboo topic in society (though that seems to be changing as time goes on). Thus, without internet forums, Ted talks, etc., each one of us would probably feel like this challenge was uniquely our own. We are all unique, but we understand your situation here too! I hope you find the guidance and support you need - best wishes!
