Breaking the pattern of failure

Hey guys my name is Jim. I have been addicted to pornography and masturbation for quite some time now (almost 20 years). I want to break free from this addiction and I know that I have to take action in order to be free. We all come to a point where we have the ability to take the right fork in the road. One path at the fork leads to a computer down a dark and damned hallway. The other path leads to your family and the vast vista's of eternity. Right now I am again standing at that fork in the road. I choose to take the path that leads to eternal life.

I realize that I cannot do this on my own. Even thought I have tasted success at times, I have never overcome this addiction. I am a married 28 year old male who is looking for friends in Christ to overcome this addiction with me. Let me know if you need an accountability partner!

 

8 Days
When I wake up tomorrow I will be clean from pornography for 9 days. This is an accomplishment that I am happy to achieve. I feel that God has lead me through this and that my failures have come at my hands, not his. My success has come from Heavenly father and Jesus Christ. If your on day one, just remember your taking one step in the right direction. I have made a simple change in the fact that this time I created a written down reboot plan. This has given me added strength from God, its funny how little effort I put in sometimes. His power is so pure and true in turning the repentant sinner towards him, this turn exceeds all expectations of what we wanted, it is far better than what we wanted. That's the true power of Jesus Christ, truly man cannot comprehend the change.

I am a Son of God. I am the same as you. What we are doing here is greatness. Were banding together to fight Satan, keep your head up and keep on.
