    You've got to change up your day, and your habits.

    Coming here and asking for help was a great first step. That isn't an easy thing to do.

    First, you need to get really honest with yourself about how badly you want to stop this behavior. If you're 100% committed, then you'll take any action necessary to change your life and move in a positive direction. If you find yourself making all kinds of excuses for why you can't commit to certain things, then you might not want it bad enough.

    I'd suggest the following very practical steps to start getting better right away:
    • Get rid of any "stash" you have. If you have porn videos or pics saved on your computer, delete them. And then empty the trash.
    • Get your devices filtered, and have someone else set the passcodes on the filters so you can't deactivate them. That will be a huge help.
    • Tell 1-5 trusted friends--real, flesh-and-blood friends, not just nameless strangers on the internet--that this is a struggle for you and you'd like some accountability. You might be surprised to find that you're not the only one losing their life to porn.
    • Read up on the brain chemistry behind porn addiction ( is an invaluable resource) so you can understand what it's doing to your brain chemistry. Knowledge alone won't make you stop, but it will be helpful for you to recognize just how bad this stuff is.
    • Fill your schedule with positive activities--read a great book, exercise, connect with a friend, learn an instrument, cook a new meal--anything that improves your life and keeps you occupied. What you want to avoid is idle, unscheduled time where you're just sitting around with nothing to do. That will often lead to PMO.
    If you do all of these things, they won't be an instant cure--but they will go miles toward helping you get some traction in recovery.

    Go outside. Hopeful, you won't start masturbating in front of people.

    Sleep with your electronic drives far away from your bed.

    Ok. So here's the thing. If you're masturbating to porn, of course your going to successfully masturbate to it. The craps addictive. If no porn is involved then your just a champ. You're going to make some wife very happy some day.

    I personally don't care about masturbation. If your doing it without porn or imagining women, who cares? If your masturbation is getting in the way of your life, like your doing it in risky situations where you might get caught, like at work or something, or driving, then your masturbation is an issue. If your doing it in the confines of your own home, again with no porn going on, who cares? Do you think 6 times is excessive? Why should I judge you and call it excessive? Why should I care? Unless its affecting your life in someway or effecting your wife, who cares? Seriously who cares. Is it effecting your friendships like are you ditching friends to masturbate?

    Go masturbate all day long and go for a streak for all I care.
