    Hi guys!
So I have had a foot fetish since I was 5 not sure how I got it. I discovered pmo at 12 yo and started understanding my fetish when I was about 14. I would watch normal and feet fetish porn ( footjobs and foot worship while sex type shit or just normal oral sex porn ). I am currently 16 and turning 17 in about 3 months. So 3 days ago as I was chilling on the Internet I come across a story of some guy being tortured and kept as a foot slave and I thought it was disgusting but I was curious in the same time. After reading it I decided to check the category out on PH, and after trying to watch a video I didn’t think it was that bad, but worried that I would develop some kind of fetish for it I close the tab and continue to do what I was doing before. The day after I decided to watch pmo and as I go in and try to watch normal videos I couldn’t get turned on, so I tried footjob videos and nothing, I tried the fendom/ foot slave shit and literally I got rock hard. Now idk if I’m somehow developing a fetish for it but I really don’t want it. Maybe it’s because of the anxiety of developing a fetish and somehow my brain is fucked. So this morning I decided to come to this site and check it out and as I was scrolling I find a forum of a guy having a foot fetish and a fendom fetish for around 9 years and couldn’t get turned on by normal shit, not even to his gf on the bed and he successfully overcame it by NoFap. Now it was really motivating but I want to kinda make sure it will work for me. I been stressing out and being hella anxious for the past 2 days, thinking what if I can never get turned on by normal shit again? What am I gonna do with my life!? Pls help

Well first of all, stop jerking it to any and all kinds of porn. I'd recommend not masturbating at all, as it will speed recovery and is good for a bunch of other things also, but first of all, don't ever watch porn again. If it has been a long enough time without porn your natural sexuality will kick in. This may not solve the problem of your fetish, you might just have a fetish because you have it, I don't know if porn is the root cause of all fetishes (could be). But at least without the porn corrupting your mind you will definitely be able to get off on natural and normal sex also, and it won't become a hugely inflated perverted thing. It will just be a little kink you have.

Right, best course of action is definitely then to quit porn and cease sexual activity for a good length of time, 90 days seems to be the common benchmark but to be save I'd double it! then either decide to have natural sex or go see Nofap and Semen retention as a lifestyle (both have their merits).

I’m thinking about staying away from any sexual activity for a while, and since I decided to be homeschooled now cz of the virus I think it will be kinda easier

The 90 days are purely made up actually, I would set the minimum abstinence period somewhere around three years.

He was most likely referring to abstinence from pornography/masturbation. If anything, NoFap encourages intercourse with an actual partner.

Yeah, if he wasn't then I don't know what to tell you.

But yes, 90 days is not enough. I would say if you have been addicted for 10 years, you should go at least 1 year without pornography and masturbation in order to heal your mind.
Abstaining from intercourse is a good tool to pull out in case you have PIED, but you should consult with the senior members of this forum about that, if you do.

Colour me surprised! A person who realised they were addicted after just 2 years. Good on you.

Took me much longer, and I'm still considered a mild case on this website.

I became addicted after moving here to US. I was born/grew up in EU, and even tho I started to watch porn at 12yo I didn’t watch regularly, only like 1ce every 3 days or a week

Then you posted into the wrong forum section. This section is called "Abstinence, Retention and Sexual Transmutation" and is not about Porn at all. It's about people not engaging in any sexual activity.

The truth you're facing now is that you masturbated away the chance for a healthy sex life in front of a screen. Most people on this site are sex addicts (this is why they like porn so much) looking for getting access to more sex, blaming their sexual dysfunction on porn, and don't actually care for abstinence and addiction recovery.

The comfortable and easy promise are false promises. Such is the "90 days reboot" promise. Sex addiction doesn't heal through having sex, just as alcohol addiction doesn't heal through drinking alcohol.

As with any addiction you are not going to make any progress until you fully admitted how deep down the rabbit hole you are. If there is still the slightest trace of denial, you will go lower first. You might look at three years of abstinence - or you might look at wasting 20 years in denial. That's your choice.

Didn’t realize I wasn’t in the right section. But I’m all in to this, I want to quit porn, I blocked all pages, and I am trying to change many things. Trying to eat healthier being more productive and etc. I’m not expecting anything major to come from 90 days and for the 3 year abstinence, if its just for porn/ masterbation ok I will but if u talking bout sex, I don’t think its going to be possible but I am willing to go all in

On this forum section, it doesn't actually matter if you look at porn, you don't get any bonus points for that.

If you go for abstinence, you abstain from sex with yourself and others to reap in the retention benefits propelling your whole life forward in all departments, instead of going for instant gratification. Retention for example is about the choice between indulging in the typical college sex frenzy versus making it to the top 3 % by being completely abstinent until graduation (this is how all the Asians outclass everyone else BTW).

Recovering from sex addiction, weird fetishes and losing interest in porn is just nice side effect of that lifestyle. Abstinence naturally ends when you find a spouse and start a family.

Sex addiction and porn addiction are two different things. Sex addiction, ie a compulsion to seek sexual intercourse with one or more partners up to and beyond the point where it becomes detrimental to normal everyday life, is most definitely NOT the problem most people on this site have.

It is entirely possible to have a healthy sex life (and will improve most people's quality of life if attained)
It is not possible to have a healthy porn life.

Abstinence for a period of time is a tool used to aid recovery from porn addiction, usually 90 days. Some people need more and some people less to reach their goals. Imo suggesting 3 years of abstinence to aid removal of porn induced fetishes isn't helpful.
90 days of abstention is a good starting point. After 90 days it will be work out if more abstention is required or he may be able to enjoy a normal sex life.

Thanks bro, ur comment really helpful. As I said earlier I have no intentions to ever go back to porn. Masterbating is a diff story, I mean I might but not till I recover.
