Can watching porn make you trans?

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Teuthtobetold1, Sep 8, 2018.

  1. Are you having dysphoric feelings in general, or just related to sex?

For myself, personally, my dysphoria has only ever been sexually related, which does not AT ALL make a person trans. I do believe porn can make you imagine what it would be like to have the opposite gender's genitalia and what that would feel like during sex, and it can even lead to some jealousy and envy and wanting to experience that, especially if you think the other gender has better sexual experiences.

If you're only feeling those things because of sex, then youre not trans. You just have a little bit of dysphoria that will probably mostly go away once you stop watching porn.

I know for myself, I have abolsutely no desire to be the opposite gender, except in sexual situations. Otherwise, in every day life, I am completely happy in my own body and with the gender I am biologically. If that's where you're at as well, then you are definitely NOT trans.

Ok I accept your opinion, I am just saying that porn has nothing to do with someone becoming trans, it is about predisposition in the head. They will start to feel like that sooner or later, porn can accelerate it. If they become trans in real life it is up to them and their decision and feelings. Simple as that.

  3. It's not my opinion... it's the experience of many many people here.

Well yes, if you phrase it that way, I agree. But porn can definitely cause gender dysphoria, even for people who have never had those feelings prior to porn use. That's not my opinion. I've seen it happen time and time again.

    check out yourbrainonporn comments/posts about sissy stuff;
    https://yourbrainonporn.com/search/node/sissy
There was one poster who said as he gained confidence and 'manned up' his sissy and gay thoughts subsided.
I don't doubt there are males born who for some reason are completely effeminate - but the case of 'urges' like this its porn induced and some internal confidence/masculine issues- I am not saying it's easily fixed - the brain is pretty complicated - but I believe our sexual fantasies like dreams are messages about some unmet need or want.

To use the classic argument - if the OP started getting pedo or bestiality urges would you say the same thing? hey it's inborn just go with it?

I don know. I think i mixed up all of them, i think it started with dysphoric feelings only in sex, and then now i start to have dysphoric towards my body in everyday situations. I don wan to be like this, i just want to live my life!

  6. Personally... I know if you are not religious, you aren't going to like this advice, but if you dont want to be trans or pursue transition and you think you can be happy with your own body but just need some help, I would HIGHLY suggest you only seek religious counseling. Reason being, in today's climate, it is borderline illegal (or in some places might actually already be illegal) for therapists to give you any kind of counseling other than basically encouraging you to embrace being trans and transitioning. I would always recommend therapy, but honestly I would be hesitant to recommend just any old therapist to someone in your position right now. They might try to push you to accept being trans. So if you're adamantly against that, then no matter what your religious beliefs are, I would say your safest bet would be to seek counseling from a pastor or a Christian therapist or something like that.

But also, as I said, just stop watching porn and try not to think about that stuff. When those thoughts come up, just set them aside. I dont always think its healthy to bury your feelings, but sometimes those feelings will just go away on their own. Search around on the forums, there have been many people here who have posted about these types of feelings going away after quitting porn and masturbation. Maybe check the success section.

Also, remember that more often than we realize, happiness and contentment are choices. We live in a highly imperfect world. Nothing is ever going to be exactly how we want it to be. So sometimes you just have to accept that things aren't how you want them to be, and choose to get over it and be happy anyway and not dwell on the negatives.

I got it, thank you. I will try to be better in this regard.

  8. Also, there are estrogenic compounds in the food supply you might want to avoid. This isn't a conspiracy theory, it's well documented scientifically, testosterone levels have been going down from the 1950s.

These are videos created by a team of nutrition scientists about the topic:

Most effeminate boys will be gays and some will be straight guys, only small minority of effeminate boys will be trans, and most of them will be not sissy fetishists. Most transsexuals in the West were normal during their childhood, their condition is late onset and related to AGP addiction.

It is autogynephilia, autogynephilia is a sexual arousal by imaging yourself as a female.

  12. Where exactly are you getting this from? Most trans people I know of have had issues with gender since they were children.

I read DSM-5. Late onset GD is associated with AGP, and most transkids overgrow such condition.

  14. Well... neither of those things exactly equate to what you said initially. The fact that late onset GD is associated with AGP doesnt mean that most transgender people have late onset dysphoria. You're mixing up cause and effect and making false equivalencies. But whatever, it's not worth the argument.

What is the averave age of transitioners in the UK? It is 42 years, most transsexuals have late onset GD. 70-80 % transsexuals are late onset transsexuals with AGP

I have had the this problem it only gets better by abstaining from porn because it continuing to watch it only makes it worse and the fear that you feel that things won’t change if you do get rid of porn also traps you into continuing to use porn. Life is uncertain most of the time but you need to find healthy ways to deal with that uncertainty porn isn’t one of them. I stopped watching porn and masturbation for 1yr and a half and I’ve gotten more self knowledge and started working on areas of my life that have been ignoring. I still get some thoughts of trans porn but I know for a fact that I love women and I used porn because I struggled with showing those emotions healthy and feared rejection. Now I’m just focusing on myself and improving and I’m not solely focused on sex or dating because getting pleasure from things and people will not make you happy. I have relied on my faith to help me and ask God to help me on this journey and to constructively deal with this pain. So the first step is to get rid of porn and challenge yourself to be better once you get rid of it you will start finding answering because porn is a distraction from underlying issues find reasons why you need to get rid off it for yourself not others hope this helps

  17. Just because someone doesnt transition until later in life doesn't mean they didnt yave gender dysphoria until then. You just dont know what you're talking about. You're making tons of assumptions. I'm not saying I know what the stats are either, but neither do you.

I studied transsexuality for 10 years in different cultures (I am russian), I know what is AGP and transsexuality, you should read books and scientific articles about transsexuality in order to educate yourself. Read Blanchard's Lawrence's articles, read about paraphilias, brain imaging studies, etc.

Blanchard theory is fake, it already causes suffering of lots of transgender people, please, stop making them suffer, i have seen lots of them get gatekeep, get abused by others using this theory and making them miserable.
And no, in fact, most transkids don overgrow their gender dysphoria, and even if what u said is true, is there any point in taking ur point and tell everyone else and then make transgender people suffer and miserable? is that what u want? to make them suffer? i beg u, dont.

yes, this deserves a repost- avoiding BPA as much as you can and eating detoxifying foods can help; while not a pancea, i noticed a difference.

Also, The advice to seek religious counseling, even if you aren't is sound,
To give you an idea how politicized this area of study is - any attempt to study possible chemical or psychological causes is quickly suppressed by LBGT lobby groups -
