    Hey everyone,

"Motion 47, introduced by MP Arnold Viersen this past spring, asks the Health Committee to examine the public health effects of the ease of access and viewing of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women, and men and report its findings to the House no later than July 2017. The motion went for a final vote in the House of Commons on Thursday, December 8, and passed unanimously. This study will mark the first time in 30 years that Parliament has studied the issue of pornography in Canada."

I just came across this great opportunity for Canadians to take direct action in changing policy around pornography use. Please see the link below..

    "THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO
There are three simple things you can do this summer to help advocate for a robust public health response to violent pornography.

    1. Write or email your MP and the Minister of Health. Hope For The Sold has a great template letter [here] or I would encourage you to write a personal letter that includes the recommendations.
    2. Sign a petition on age verification [download here]. The last petition you signed lead to M-47 being unanimously adopted. Now let’s call for the development of effective age verification technology.
    3. Tweet & Tag your MP and the Minister of Health using social media graphics [download here] created to communicate the importance of a robust public health response to the impact of violent pornography.
Together we are cultivating a Canada that upholds the dignity of women, combats violence against women and girls, and protects the spirit of our boys."

I plan to write an email following the suggested template, as well as signing the petition. I am not sure if I am quite ready to share my addiction and support via social media yet, baby steps.

Thoughts? It would be awesome if we can get some numbers supporting this via NoFap.com!!

Ironic, the best porn sites were founded by Canadians.

Some evidence hot off the press. Video found on link above "Canada is a major target for human traffickers, with 90-percent of victims coming from with Canada, not abroad. Their average age is 17-years-old and the problem has become so big, police departments across the country are devoting rescources to fight human trafficking"

Pornhub and it's offshoots are headquartered in Montreal. But you wouldn't know because their ads are banned in Canada. More irony.
