Can't Stop MO'ing

    So, as of today I haven't watched porn for 76 days. However, prior to that, I had been watching porn everyday-multiple times a day for almost 10 years. I am 22 now and started when I was 13. This past May my parents and I installed a parental control software on all of my devices, so that eliminated the motivation and urge to view anything porn related because I can't privately browse anymore. Admittedly so, I have came across sexy imagines of women on non-porn sites (some of which I did look up) but I didn't stay long because once again, my parents can remotely see every move I make from their own devices.

    Right now I consider myself to be in the "filtering phase" meaning that as time goes on, I am allowing my brain to reboot to my pre-porn years. However, I am having trouble with my "slips." I still masturbate multiple times every other day without any using any devices or pictures, but the unfiltered images in my head is the main trigger for masturbation. On the bright side, I have noticed that my erection is slowly coming back. At night when I am going to sleep I often will fantasize about sex and sometimes I will get a full erection. Sometimes, I will even have morning wood. Many have said that masturbating during a reboot isn't a big deal, the porn is. But I want to gain more control over myself.

    How has this worked out for you? I understand some people can quit porn and masturbation all together, but I guess some have to give it up one-by-one? When you gave up porn, did you still find yourself MO'ing frequently due to unfiltered images? Was it until a good while later when the urge to masturbate burned out because of being away from porn for so long? I am interested in hearing your thoughts and answers.
     
  2. To me, no MO, and no porn, I touched myself a couple of times, but I never got anywhere close to cumming. I right now am on my second streak, but I am having problems with girlfriend ASMR's, my best advice is not to find something that replaces porn, but to find what helps with urges

    Thanks. For the past couple of months or so I have picked up a new healthy habit which is reading books. Right now I am also having the hardest time committing to my work life due to ADHD which I am medicated for, but with as many times as my combination of medicine has been tweaked, I know it's solely myself that needs the tweaking.
     
  4. I want to start reading, I bought 1984 because of a quote in a rage against the machine song (lousy reason lol), do you exercise along with NoFap? It helped me a lot with anxiety and depression
     
  5. I was free from porn for 60 days before abstaining from PMO altogether, and it's been for the best. I masturbated nearly every day and my libido was apparently normal, however, just like the unfiltered images in your head, I used Instagram as a substitute. I don't think it's good to MO while recovering. In my opinion, you should stop for as long as it takes for you to feel healed and then you can go back to masturbating, if you want. In that case, do your best to not do it too much.

    No, I have never been much for exercise lol. Another healthy habit I have picked up is writing in a journal daily. Sometimes multiple times per day. Maybe you should try doing that if you're not already doing it.

    Prior to officially starting this official journey to recovery, I was using Instagram faithfully. Then I started using Google Imagines and Twitter. Even with my phone set to Apple's very of parental control, certain images and keywords were able to slip through. A good little while after that my girlfriend left me.

    When you feel like you wanna Jack off your Di**,

    Feel your hands. Breathe in, feel those hands. It is these hands that you use to create oscillations down there. It is these hands you use to display Slu** on your “Screen”. Feel and understand this fact.
    Once you do this well, Remind yourself how MOing affects you badly.

    Emergency measures:
    1. Get away from the internet.Especially news websites that have pics of Slu**.
    2. Wear Uncomfortable Trousers, with a belt! A physical barrier.
    3. Try not being alone.
    4. Get busy: Work/Study, Workout.

    You’re wasting your time and energy.
    Its not healthy man.

    You need to find your own techniques to stop this. Stop wasting it like that.
