Hello, 37 yo male who has been addicted to pornography and masturbation since... as early as I can remember. Ignored it for years and years, because (I thought) it helped me deal with social anxiety and let me ignore girls so I could focus on academics.

Realized I had a problem when it destroyed my relationship with my first real girlfriend. I chose MO over her.

Tried to get better but was so depressed over the relationship that MO was used to cope.

Ignored it again until my current GF discovered my problem (though not its full extent.)

Back on the bandwagon. I'm at the stage in my life where academics and professional stuff are firmly established and now am ready (hopefully) to deal with this problem that has ruined a good chunk of my life.
