    I've just watched a Russell Brand video on YouTube regarding the pandemic related rise of internet pornography usage in which he quotes Carl Jung as follows;

    "The highest most decisive experience is to be alone with ones own self. What everyone else chooses to call the objectivity of the psyche. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find out that you can not support yourself. Only this experience can give you an indestructible foundation."

    I then did a quick internet search and found this, also attributed to Carl Jung;

    "Loneliness is for me a source of healing that makes my life worth living. Talking is often a torment to me and I need several days of silence to recover the futility of words."

    Having experienced many and long episodes of loneliness I can both take comfort from and very much relate to the meaning in both of these quotes, and even if they don't fully quell the pain and suffering we encounter in being alone, it might be one more step towards recovery and wholeness.

    There was plenty more good stuff on Jungs work on t'internet to discover which I might have to explore myself as I don't know a great deal about it...
