Thank you, AllanTheCowboy. You're absolutely right! I must go to confession every week because "Greatest Miracles" happen there and I must attend Daily Mass as usually as I can. I know I have to pray the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary every day because in the past, I read the quote on Pinterest "In time of darkness, holding the Rosary Beads is like holding your Blessed Mother's hand."
Every time I'm tempted to quit I pray with Holy Spirit, God can and will give me the strength to resist temptation. I have to stay strong and stay determined.

I am a Muslim male that has suffered a lot because of the filth of pornography and masturbation. I'm happy to see that my Christian brothers are combining there efforts to fight this evil and would love to help. But I just have some questions first. I won't be beating around the bush, so I hope you wouldn't mind.

I believe that most, if not all of the people who come to this website have suffered from the pain of masturbation addiction, the psychological and physical problems. Having no one to ask for help. We we're helpless, and that everyone here agree's that pornography is wrong and should be illegal. As a Muslim, it goes without saying that pornography is wrong and masturbation is prohibited.

You Christians seem to have similar beliefs, on the face of it. But I'm not sure if its true. I've been reading you're Bible and have come across pornographic material there. Yes, you read it right. Pornographic material in the Bible. Can you tell me why is there pornography in you're book of God? I know that this is not the time or place, we are allies here against masturbation. But I just have to ask. I want to know what you think. Why? What are Christian children supposed to learn from these filthy stories? What is the moral?

Please don't take this the wrong way, I just want to know you're point of view.

I can't believe how much extra energy I have since I stopped fapping. Today was day 11. Was planning a quiet evening in but energy was pumping through me and was sorely tempted to relapse to PMO. My best tactic is just to find something else...make that ANYTHING AT ALL...to do rather than PMO. In the end I started playing piano again after many years. Playing music calmed me down and out of the red zone. Thank God for Nofap too. I'd be lost without having a place to check in.

I have found inspiration from David's fight with Goliath. He doesn't engage in up close hand to hand combat. He moves quickly so as to avoid goliath's strikes and to stay out of his reach. His first tactic is "don't let him beat me". Then he can strike the killer blow on his own terms. It's not just about fighting hard. It's about fighting smart and avoiding occasions of sin.

 

And calling in the cavalry. And the Calvary. And by this I mean, of course, MOAR ROARY!

I watched a "nofapacademy" video on YouTube this morning about the benefits of cold showers. For the past week I have been experimenting but this video has given me valuable insight into how to get the most out of it and to understand how they help us grow in virtue. In Catholic terms it is a form of mortification. I undertake to have a cold shower every day for the duration of advent.

Day 14. Never thought I'd make it this far. Deo gratias.

My recipe for success thus far.
1. Daily mass
2. Prayer to Our Lady Untier of Knots
3. 20 mins meditation on the scripture of the day
4. Cold shower
5. Check NoFap twice a day to know that we are on this journey together.

Have never felt better or more spiritually alive in my whole life. I know what He meant by "life and life to the full." Thank God for nofap.

 

If we could start on Friday, it will line up with my next novena to her.
