I've started to look at things at little differently when it comes to PMO. I used to get really frustrated whenever I would break my streak, which I still do on occasion, but now I view things a little differently. Before joining this community, I probably watched P 5-7 times a week, let's just say once a day for convenience. I would estimate now I watch it perhaps once every 1-2 weeks, lets say 10 days. By my estimates that's about a 90% decrease in my P use, which, I believe, is a success. I'm not saying it's an excuse to watch it now and then, but rather a huge decrease in P use surely must bring with it benefits. In fact, I do believe I have reaped a few of these benefits already. I have joined a Boxing club which I have wanted to do for years and just never had the confidence to do it, and now I can't wait for every session! (I've got one today actually!). I also feel much more confident around people, without a doubt; I'm not afraid to voice my opinion more and be more direct with people if need be, as well as not caring as much what people think about me (in social anxiety terms I mean, not in a narcissistic manner). I've started to get myself into a routine too. I make my bed everyday now, make sure to brush my teeth every morning and every night, have bought a Fitbit to help me keep more active throughout the day, I've bought a couple of plants for my room to make it a little more homely and just overall feel more in control and on top of things in my life. I am convinced a lot of this is down to my large reduction in P use. Although I do still crack now and then (I did last night in fact) I'm nowhere near as hard on myself as before, and I believe this is really helpful; looking at the bigger picture of where I was before and where I am now. Thanks for reading guys and hopefully this might help you too.
