You nailed it. In my case, my wife is leaving town for a few days. I will put on my chastity tube (CB6KS, for those who know) and lock the key in a timer safe set to release for when she returns. Like you say, masturbation of some sort remains possible, but for me, the masturbation seems so "wrong" when wearing a tube, that I don't bother. Success.

And you are right about the device only being partially effective for a variety of reasons. But when combined with a diligent partner who truly wants you chaste, it's an effective tool.
