Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Dec 5, 2017.

  1. I am on my second atempt of rebooting for life and now since I already abstainined for weeks at a time, for a long time, consequativly. Now my sex drive has decreased and I like it. Cold showers now work. Did anyone else not feal a thing after a cold shower or am I the only one? I am confident I can quit fapping for good now.

When you say "cold showers are working" what do you exactly mean? are they helping you to reduce the need to fap? Are there any other benefits you are noticing after cold showers?
Personally I always used steamy hot showers my entire life (I am 39) Only about a month ago I switched to taking cold showers and I feel lot of my brain fog is gone.

i was taking cold showers every morning a few months ago, but i quit after my depression got really serious for very reasons. i will start back up here soon
i only do it on my one shower a day, just to build up my stress tolerance, and i have to say i definitely feel pretty good for a while after words.
what i can say about my experience is that taking cold showers puts your body into a shock that releases A LOT of endorphins. Endorphins are similar to periods i believe and when i stepped out the shower i would a very good buzz like i was on heroin or percocet, which i used to be addicted to.
Kind of a cool way to get high, but man it's agonizing. i live in Washington and like the colder weather / change of seasons, but i like being warm.

I'm taking cold showers regardless of the weather conditions. Go all the way or do not at all. Turn it all the way down, the point is to make you feel uncomtable

I notice now that when I have a cold shower in the morning, I'm instantly awake and have a urge to attack the day and focus on what I want to achieve.

There's numerous health benefits of cold showers both physically and mentally and it really does build willpower. I find it also makes you uncomfortable, meaning you're more adept at challenging difficult situations and reacting differently.
