Combining ed drugs with aphrodisiacs if you were desperate?

I don't know if much people know this, but ed drugs like viagra, cialis don't actually increase sexual arousal. They just cause blood flow to the penis.

You actually need to be horny and turned on for an ed drug to work. This is why ed drugs often don't work for PIED sufferers.

But aphrodisiacs can increase sexual arousal.

There are many aphrodisiac. Maca root, yohimbe, horny goat weed. The list goes on.

One aphrodisiac I was looking at lately is one my local health food store is selling. Damiana.

    WHAT IS DAMIANA USED FOR?
It acts as a tonic on the central nervous system and hormonal system. The lack of scientific evidence for the plants use to enhance sexual performance is eclipsed by its use in the traditional cultures where it has a very strong reputation of efficacy in this arena for men and women. It has also been used traditionally to help support a healthy mood and healthy urinary tract function.

Damiana has been shown to produce a significant improvement in the sexual function of impotent rats in a study done in Italy. This study did, however, show no improvement in the sexual activity of sexually potent rats. The study concluded that "[damiana] might act mainly by increasing central noradrenergic and dopaminergic tone, and possibly (indirectly) oxytocinergic transmission.

So I was wondering what would happen if you combined something like damiana with an ed drug like viagra or cialis? Could this combo potentially enable a PIED sufferer to maintain an erection good enough for sexual intercourse? Because if you felt sexually aroused from the aphrodisiac, the blood would also be going to the penis from the ed drug.

Took ED drugs for a while, it's not totally true they don't help arousal, what a lot of people have noted is if the penis blood flow is working better, guys tend to get aroused as a result. Chicken, and the egg type thing.

I imagine if there is an aphrodisiac which actually worked, and you combined it with ED drugs you'd have a good time, but thats just my guess.

The ed drug doesn't do anything for the receptors in your brain that cause arousal. They basically just cause the blood to go to the penis. So if ed drugs worked for you then this is a good thing, as it means you must of had some level of arousal.

That being said, even if you weren't aroused but you took an ed drug, at the very least your dick would be bigger and fatter, as it would be more filled with blood. So even something like this could probably help someone get it up easier.

But yeah I would be interested in seeing a combo of something that actually caused high sexual arousal plus something that caused blood flow to the penis. I'm actually quite surprised the pharmaceutical industry hasn't created a drug exactly like that yet.

There is little incentive to honestly, it's likely doable, but the FDA would take ages to approve it. I'm good friends with a doctor who in recent years has come to specialize in sexual medicine, there are more treatments he knows of that work that are illegal atm, than treatments he's allowed to do. The FDA is a slow moving bureaucracy that is lobbied over by existing interest that don't want to see their products cut out of the market by better ones. We, and the rest of the world suffers as a result, because the U.S. leads the world in pharmaceutical research.
