Come down after porn?

Im well aware porn raises dopamine , infact your brain is swimming in a dopamine haze throughout and for many hours thereafter .

So I assume when the dopamine finally begins to start to return to baseline , there's a comedown and eventual depressive faze.

If Im addicted to porn and compulsively get off on it for a few days the urges are intense and my brain is swimming In dopamine , because of this my decision making goes out the window and it's literally all about that high, it is so fucking addictive and you literally need to fight yourself to not give in and let the dopamine return to normal which for a day or two brings about depression .

I assume this is pretty standard ?

 

Do not waste time on modeling how dopamine works, instead work on behavior change not just related to sexuality, but in general.

 

I'm well accustomed already with neurotransmitters so its only an added insight, but you are correct , you need to take responsibility
