So... how many of your friends and relatives know what you're dealing here?

Did they understand? Were there supportive? Did they take it seiously or they just told you to "man the fuck up"?

I wouldn't expect any real support from my family. My mother would never understand and my father has enough of his own problems to deal with.
When it comes to my friends I don't really feel a need to tell them. I honestly enjoy internet as my way of coming out and getting support I need.

Told some friends but they´re mostly joking about it, they don´t support me, I´ve got one friend who is also trying to quit though so I can get some support and understanding from him i guess. Rest of my friends are like; why stop?

So yesterday I told a female friend... she didn't freak out at all (but on the other hand, I wasn't expecting her to), and she was very supportive.

She told me that she understands me because she's a compulsive eater and totally understands how a compulsive disorder affects your life... and we talked about how we used to be in high-school, how we passed our exams easily, how we used to have much better social skills... and how we are not that same people anymore.

Anyway, I'm happy that I told her... she told me that if anytime I really felt the urge, I can phone her, no matter what time it is and she will try her best to keep my mind busy.

    :)

Its not that big deal as for example if someone is coming out as gay. I just mentioned few times to my friends but never talked serous on topic. It's not like we had any serious discussion about jerking either :D
You have to deal with it on your own much as you can. Some people will just wait trip you and feel better about themselves and have justification for own bad way of living.
Be strong and do not worry what other people think.

I never viewed it as a big enough deal. "Coming out" is for something you will be living with for the rest of your life.Something you cannot change like being gay. You will beat this, no worries. It doesnt matter what anyone thinks. Only thing that matters is that you win. Its a personal victory.
