I’ve been currently doing a streak on hard mode. I’m on day 46 right now, and in a flatline. Which I thought was weird because I just has one a week ago. Thinking about it, I admittedly did peek at some porn around day 42. I didn’t M or O, was just horny and stupidity decided to look at some.

My Question: Do you think peeking at porn could have caused me to restart the flatline?

If not, then to what degree would this affect my progress if any?

Any input would be most appreciated.:emoji_pray:

  2. I don't know the answer to the question. I just know, for me, peeking at porn has the same effect as feasting on porn. It immediately screws up my brain and lights the fuse that leads to worse stuff.

I'm curious what flatlining is. Obviously I shouldn't try to answer the question when I don't understand a fundamental concept. I don't think that term is in the glossary. Does it means happily abstaining, as in you were starting to enjoy the benefits and then got in a funk and you're wondering if that change in enjoyment of life without mo is from the peek at p?

Flatlining is basically when you drop in libido, so you have no sex drive. Sometimes they come accompanied with some minor depression and anxiety.

Interesting. I'm not sure if I've ever experienced that, exactly. I have experienced anxiety and minor depression. Did you enjoy the drop in libido?

  6. Flatlines come and go randomly. It's different for everyone. It happens as the brain and hormonea rebalance themselves. Don't think about it and keep rebooting.

Yes , that is my experience.
Edging causes the worst withdrawal symptoms.
Without edging it is a smooth sail ( except insomnia).
Edging to me is dwelling on sexual thoughts for more than few seconds.

It definitely made it easier, but I felt really crappy during it. Luckily I’m starting to come out of that shitty feeling right now.

This time I won’t peek when the urges hit again. Which for me is usually after I exit a flatline, so they coming up soon. :emoji_fingers_crossed:
