counting number to avoid urges

    guys we all have educational background.

    do u think there is any / should be / would be any mathmatical thing to avoid urges?

    u must have heard , counting numbers divert mind from one thought to other thought.

    It sounds like what you are actually speaking about is meditation. Whether we focus on the breath or a mantra or counting numbers, it's all much the same - a way to focus and divert the mind or shut the mind down even so as to distance ourselves objectively from any and all stimuli in or around us, including thoughts. That's the basics of it. Best!

    guys anyone tried this method.

    whenever u have urges, start counting from 0-5 or 5-10 in every breath.
