I recently started fapstaining, went 16 days no P or M, but finally gave in and pmo’ed 3x in the past week. have been trying to start a new streak but when i’m 2ish days in i keep feeling the surge and figure: “my streak is so low it’s no big deal if i M”.. deep down i know i shouldn’t but i keep having crazy urges. how do i fight these urges off??

  2. In my own personal experience it helps me a lot if I make myself busier with either work or hobbies. Also, part of the reason I've felt the same way as you have in the past and ended up cracking was because I wasn't leaving my house to do stuff often enough. Right now I'm trying to solve that by going to more social events and I got myself a second job. Having a new hobby seems to help me too.

    Hang in there!

  3. I relapsed yesterday!
I find that the urge to fap becomes very strong in morning and afternoon!
And I was alone the whole day with 2 computers and a high speed connection inviting me!
On previous occasions, I had tried to go outside and avoid the urge to fap but this time I couldn't go out and therefore fell in...
Doing a 14 Day challenge yet again. This time I will get it for sure.

Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.

  4. There is a thread somewhere on this site about crazy things our porn addict brain tells us. Check it out so you won't be deceived by the bs. It also helps to laugh.
As for what to do in the moment of being tempted, I have been there. When you are so close to it, and it is in your head, sometimes it feels like "that's it, I'm going to do."
I cannot tell you how many times I swore I would never do it again, then x amount of time later, I was back at it. So I KNOW what it is like. Even when I was stopped for a couple of days (which was a LONG time for me) a desire would come over that I just could not counter.
This time around, I discovered a new approach. It involves willingness rather than willpower. It involves including the urge rather than fighting it. And best of all, it is a really simple technique. Here it is:

Keep on with your intention to walk free. There are many facets to the recovery process. I hope this one is of some value to you.

Well, I would suggest taking a step back and analyse your life for moment. How is your education going? If you're out in the workforce already, how do you view your job/career? How are your relationships going? I feel often times porn addiction persists as one or more aspects aforementioned has not been properly addressed. Once you have a clearer, more firm grasp on your goals, then you will find more reasons to resist temptations
