Creepiness

Creepy is something I've never been labelled as, so I must have got something right!
It's a good idea to approach women in an oblique way; to find a situation where you can talk openly in a non sexual context. That might be in a shared lesson at college or a sport or interest like a book club. I've made quite a few friendships with women that way and avoided any creepiness.
I ought to mention that it works both ways! I've met a few women who I've found VERY creepy. Women who wanted me to do very intimate things to them or told me inappropriate things. It's got me into a bit of trouble over the years, after all we're guys?
Thankfully I've always got away from these sort of women quickly and severed any links. I think those experiences have helped me respect my own boundaries and learn what I really need from women, namely respect, friendship and care.
Sex can wait until later.

 

I suppose it is the vibe you give off to a woman. Most porn and masturbation addicts have to hide their habits, thus giving that "I'm hiding something bad" vibe to the opposite gender and making them afraid of what you'll do to them.

I think there were some misunderstandings. No PUA would ever use pity for game. The suicide situation that you're thinking of was a true life account of this guy who is a famous PUA. Neil Strauss's book The Game is a story about a real guy, and the actual guy - is only very intermittently, suicidal. He does not approach women while he's going through this.

I do think that applying every aspect of pickup is over-planned. I don't recommend becoming a PUA.

I read that one guy explained out of every 10 girls, 9 would get a creepy vibe. Dang man I'm sorry to hear that, but it doesn't have to be this way. This guy wouldn't be using pickup to 'get laid' or whatever. He would be using pickup to effectively meet women and greet them. To start a friendship. Then - whatever his goal is. In pickup this guy could at the very least figure out why the women are getting a weird vibe.

A lot of pickup is self improvement, a point that most people forget. Being interesting, not just faking it. When we talk about Value - lets make sure we are understanding the terms instead of assuming we mean financial income. In pickup value has nothing to do with your financial income with women when you first meet them. I've seen McDonald's managers approaching women and getting a great response while higher paid guys tried hard to be too nicey nice. Being interesting is another way to put it.

You can't assume why someone will really get into pickup either. I got into it for several years to find someone really great to marry. I also used wing theory to make male friends when I moved to a new city. Its just a tool to smooth the rough edges.

But the number one thing is you should be 100% off pornography before you try any of this stuff out.

The best way I can describe the feeling it takes to actually accomplish something at pickup is having moxie. Having enough balls to go start conversations with women over and over and over. Many pleasant encounters, where the goal is to feel out the gal's interest - sometimes they are interested sometimes they just want to chat for a sec and move on. A PUA knows which ones on their own want to maybe meet again some time - and how to get phone numbers. The parts of pick up that I like - are the studies on how to be pleasant to be around and reading indicators of interest. Having a few fun topics to chat about up your sleeve doesn't hurt either when visiting with women. Thats a big part of pickup.
