This post is about how I cured my SSA. I had this for some years,it wasnt from birth,I started watching cute cartoon guys, then it escalated out of control watching gay p0rn or using gay dating apps.
Theoretical knowledge helped me,i realized this isnt natural, its induced, after two years I think im cured.I no longer crave other men.
this also applies to shemales or transexuals, for some reason many rebooters at first like them,I cant explain why,but as you nofap for a long streak it will go away.

There is no doubt that being gay is the way gay men are born.

You are correct that there is an expansion of various fetishes when watching porn. If you are straight, then abstaining from porn will reboot you.

I disagree,i dont think God creates gay people.
also gays dont reproduce so theres no way a gay gene has been spreading.

  4. God creates people, they reproduce whatever sexual orientation they have. Lots of gay people were married to hide when it was still damned. They reproduced. There are lesbians and gays getting together for the reason of reproduction.
Let‘s say heterosexuals reproduce, gays make love :). It‘s more complicated maybe than god intended it to be. Why? Ask god. He created humans. Did he? So many questions, so many opinions. So many judgements. And we wonder why we cannot live in peace? Did god create war? Or people who like to fight? Hm ... Sorry for the associative rant.

    Hey @jack_hammer ,

Why the gods create people the way they do is beyond any human's ability to understand.

However, why evolution would create relatives able to step in in case the parents can't finish raising their children is pretty obvious. In many species, aunts and uncles help raise their sibling's children.

The same is true among humans. Aunts and uncles can play a huge part in both the physical and financial responsibilities for raising the children. Either because the parents are crap at what they do (maybe in prison?), just helping out with money or maybe even stepping in to raise the kids if the parent dies.

Having a species with a certain percentage of gay relatives that can step in makes a species far more likely to survive. This means gay people are critical for the survival of the human race.

So, there is no reason for homophobia.

Let me know if I can help again.

That is false. There was a huge genetic study (500k people) published a few months ago and they failed to find any gay gene. It does not exist.

No there wasn't any such study.

The one you are quoting is a study of 409 men. Four Hundred Nine. Not hundreds of thousands.

Here is a synopsis of the study...

"A new study of gay brothers, the largest to date, adds more scientific evidence that there’s a genetic basis for homosexuality. A genetic analysis of over 409 pairs of gay brothers found that two areas of the human genome, a portion of the X chromosome and a portion of chromosome 8, were associated with the men’s sexual orientation."

    Note two things:

    1. 409 is the LARGEST Study to date

    2. "... adds MORE scientific evidence that there's a genetic basis for homosexualty..."

Again, I don't try to blame my sexual proclivities on other people.

The work for my recovery has to be done by myself.

I believe non-same-sex marriage is equal to same-sex marriage.

You're right that there is no single gay gene. Just like there is no single gene for eye colour. How the human genome is associated with the various traits humans can have is far to complex to say there is a single gene for most things, if anything. Every trait is dictated by the interaction between environment and genes.

there is no gay gene transmitted transmitted to offspring, its more like something in the baby's production went haywire and altered the baby's sexual orientation. similar to autism, etc. nothing wrong with that, infact they are more special than us.

I find that working my own program of recovery is more important to me than bashing gay people.

Calling it something that "went haywire" when one in ten people are gay is bashing.

I am done with this thread. I can't keep defending normal people who are gay. Of course, I believe that non-sex couples are the same as same-sex couples. Every person who is realistic know that the gods don't make mistakes.

Setting religious and moral arguments aside, following strictly nature's rules, in a sexual species only a male and a female can produce offspring. In order to make them engage in such act, there are hormones to create attraction between them and a complex dopamine-based chemical system ensuring and rewarding their mutual sexual gratification.

If for whatever reason during development you hijack that and link sexual pleasure towards people of your own sex, something like this may occur. Going wayhire is an extreme, but it is certainly a deviation from the natural, intended purpose of sexual attraction, and could be reversed if the false connection is reverted like jack hammer says.

Regarding the gay gene, there are also studies which find nothing whatsoever. That's not to say that some genes relating to hormones and other sexual development traits have an indirect impact. What is obvious is that sexual orientation is ultimately decided around the circumstances while growing up, whatever some may say.

All that said, saying that this is 'gay bashing' is absolute bs, for both this particular scenario and gayness are not inherently a bad thing, they just happen, let alone nobody respectable would bash someone for their sexual orientation.

And, let's not forget this also goes the other way around, people who realise they were actually gay even after exhibiting straight behaviors. But biological facts are facts.

you're looking at an older and smaller study.

This is the study. https://science.sciencemag.org/content/365/6456/eaat7693 - 493,001 participants

And no, same sex marriage is not equal to normal marriage. Same sex marriage can not produce children. Stating facts is not bashing anyone.

Marriage is marriage. Non-same-sex marriage is fine with me. Same-sex-marriage is fine with me. They are both normal.

By your logic, I should not be able to marry a woman if I fall in love with her because at my age we won't be producing children.

If making babies is the criteria we should use to decide if a marriage is normal, then if a young couple gets married and finds out that either the male or female is sterile, then they don't have a "normal" marriage.

Yes, yes, yes. What you write is bashing.

It's time to work on myself now, time to get back down into recovery. When you are off your high horse telling everyone else what is "normal", then I hope you join us in recovery. If not, then keep judging other people because you must be the only one Jesus would have allowed to throw the first stone.

As for me, I don't judge. I do call shenanigans when I read it.

There is scientific proof that low levels of serotonin in the brain can cause same sex attraction.

This condition can be from many factors including drug abuse and other recreational situations.

Lol wtf?? Can you cite this because lowering serotonin increases sex drive, I know because I’m taking Addyi which lowers serotonin and I’m only horny for my man :p I also increased my dopamine with Wellbutrin. To be honest low serotonin and high dopamine is a normal balance of the brain. That balance gives high sex drive, energy, motivation, and better concentration. (You already know for yourself the benefits of dopamine from NoFap).

The truth is that genes and neurotransmitters don’t affect sexual attraction, for sure seemingly. I think what’s more likely to affect sexual attraction are experiences (environmental factors) and overall development (of brain structures, not neurotransmitters), which happens rapidly up to age 5. But of course kids won’t know their orientation until they hit puberty ‍♀️

BUT the only thing that seems to have that effect is when transgender people get on hormones, their sexuality can change. Now that is something worth looking into.

    https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn23605-mice-lacking-serotonin-swap-sexual-preferences/

@alexg1709 is correct, manipulating serotonin changes sexual orientation.

Marriage is not the same since one can produce children and one can not. Using an exception does not prove your point. A heterosexual couple that can't produce children is a heterosexual couple that has a reproductive issue or does not want to. That's like saying a kid born with one leg or an amputee prove that there are two types of humans 1-legged and 2-legged. No, humans are 2-legged, there is only one type of humans (2-legged), even if aberrations happen. An aberration does not invalidate a rule. A homosexual couple on the other hand can NEVER produce children.

No, what i write is not bashing. Stating facts and logical conclusions is not bashing. Calling them names would be bashing, something i am not doing. Disagreeing with something does not imply bashing.

What i am doing is also not judging. Stating facts is not judging. Even so from an exclusive Christian perspective, as a christian you are supposed to call out what you see wrong or evil. That is a duty as a christian. Ignoring what you know is wrong and unpleasing to God is actually the sin. So again, calling something out is not "judging".
