Day 22: Flatline Tapering, Vivid Dreams

    I'm on Day 22 of my journey, and I just woke up. I want to blame my blunted emotions of last week from flatline, but I think that's partly from being lonely before I started to socialize more. I am also supplementing with Vitamin D, dubbed "the happy pill", is working its magic as well. I don't get enough sun exposure, so supplementing really helps. I am also going to bed earlier and trying to get at least 7 hours of sleep. It has been extremely helpful during my reboot to sleep more. Not only will your body thank and reward you with long lasting energy, but it will also keep you from doing late night activities, drinking anxiety-spiked caffeinated beverages the next day, and make you human again (sleep deprivation makes you a zombie). And, if I had a choice of sleep versus caffeine... I would choose sleep because taking naps has more benefits and does not give you more anxiety than you already bargained for from sleep deprivation.

    The moral of the story? While the night is a pleasant way to spend your me-time, it is equally pleasant to sleep in. I'm sure that most people can agree with this unless they can sleep through a train, which is both impressive and scary.

    Now, I recall a few dreams from last night, but the oddest one was about my body desiring to ejaculate without any stimulation. It was like I could literally ejaculate on command without touching myself. The stimulation from O was also present. I did so in the dream, but it was clearly missing P and M. It's almost like my body wants me to do something. It's also been long enough for me to develop a habit of not PMO'ing. I rarely entertain the thought of looking at P because I learned that talking to women of interest is far more interesting and enjoyable than M'ing in solitary confinement with virtual women who don't reply or care about me.

    The moral of the story? Set your short term goal to 21 days No-PMO (3 weeks). Your long term goal should still be 90 days if you haven't done your first full reboot. For the best results, do Hard-mode or Legendary-mode (Halo reference; Monk-mode). And, learn the art of socializing. People are, surprisingly, more interesting than at face value. If you're a total novice speaker, start with small talk. One word of advice, volume. If you're soft spoken, then speak up or they just will not hear you, period. It also shows how much confidence you have to speak with them. The fastest learners understand that making mistakes is part of the learning process. You can't avoid them, so accept them and learn from them.
