So I have been dealing with ED lately. It has happened with girls years ago but I thought nothing of it,until now. Suddenly I started experiencing ED during masturbation! So at first I start out fine with a nice hard on but after about 10 mins I start going limp! I have even ejaculated with a limp penis a few times. I don't know what to think honestly. I have been PMO for about 9 years now. Almost every day probably. I notice it is much easier to keep an erection if I do not use lube. My biggest question is this. Could it be a Venous leak?

99% no. Stop all PMO for a few months and you'll be good.

Hi there, It is very, very unlikely that you would have such a serious medial condition. Sometimes physical reasons can be the cause of ED- You should go to your Doctor and have some routine tests done- they will take some bloods to ensure things are as they should be- they can also do a physical exam around your groin to ensure nothing feels swollen- in short- Doctors can rule out any physical reason for your ED- that is a good thing because you can stop stressing about it being something horrible like a leak.

I was in a relationship for the last 5 and half years and I suffered with ED the entire time- I used medications and such in order to maintain a sex life- but the issue created a lot of problems between me and my ex.

I went to a doctor and had the tests done- more than once- I almost wanted their to be a physical reason (such as testosterone levels being low etc) so that i didn't have to face up to my lifestyle habits. I even had psycho-sexual counselling thinking issues I experienced in childhood may be affecting my performance.

However, once I discovered NOfap- I realised that the most likely cause was porn abuse- like yourself I have masturbated to porn for the last decade or more- gradually the porn I view to obtain arousal got more and more kinky or extreme... PMOing had rewired my brain... Also like you I have experienced masturbation and ejaculation with a flaccid penis- I think when you get to that you know you have a real issue with porn.

I'm struggling to give it up having relapsed twice within the last week- but honestly- 100% the best thing you can do is try the 90 day reboot challenge and stop masturbating and stop using all porn. You should see improvements in your erections.

It takes time and it's hard work- but it would be so worth it!

I Have read that the porn abuse thing is a myth. Why would that cause your penis to physically not get as much blood in it as there used to be?

It’s about the visual stimulus from porn and yes it’s real.

Masturbating without lube is the worst thing you can do to your dick.

It's to do with how much dopamine is released into the brain making you feel aroused/good.

If you abuse hardcore porn for years- your brain needs that level of stimulation in order to release enough dopamine for you to feel aroused - if you watch hardcore porn for years- then a kiss from a gf is not likely to allow the body to have the same sensation.

ED does exist in men that have no physical reason for it to be happening which means it's a mental problem and nothing to do with how much blood physically has fit into their penis before.

Its the only way I can really maintain a good erection. I used lube past 5 years but lately dry masturbation is all that keeps my erection consistently. Any ideas to what is causing my problems lately? @Ready to be healthy I can get erections from kisses but sometimes lose them after penetrating.

    Hi again,

I was the same, on the occasions that kissing and groping with my BF did cause me to get an erection I would most likely loose the erection when it came to penetration. It's very upsetting to experience isn't it.

Honestly the best thing you can do is let your body heal by quitting porn (ideally forever) and quitting masturbation for at least 90 days. It's the way to let your body and mind heal from porn abuse. Of course if you are worried about any physical reasons that you may have ED then do make a Doctors appointment.

Where is the evidence that proves this though. I find it hard to believe that your penis would just stop getting hard.People say dry masturbation hurts erections because of sensitivity, but why would it affect nocturnal erections?

Just tried masturbating again. All was well for first 10 minutes then I lost my erection and I was able to finish with a strong erection but It took me like 3 minutes to get another erection. What the hell is going on with my body? Please someone tell me why all of a sudden my penis seems to be defunct.

I'm on the same page as you right now. Ive been like that the past almost 2 years. And right now I'm on the longest streak So far almost 10 weeks in. And I'm barely seeing changes. You're not alone just give it some more time and you will see that things are getting better.

you should check a doctor just to be sure, but i agree with the fact that 99.9% has nothing to do with a venous leak.

I am not on NoFap yet bro. I tried to do the opposite and fap more. A short year ago I could fap for hours no problem. Maybe it is blown out dopamine receptors.

What is causing your problems is masturbation.. quit doing it and the problem will go away. You jerked your dick to hard too much and broke it. Let it heal and leave it alone. Its like a runner who is addicted to running and sprained an ankle.. he has to stop running to let it heal.. just stop it and let your body heal.

Broke the skin sensitivity or dopamine receptors? Im getting different replies here. If it is the receptors why is my morning wood not on point?

    Seriously?

Thousands of men experience erectile dysfunction and it has nothing to do with a physical reason - It's a mental block- the mind and body are more connected than you think.

At the end of the day it's not up to me or other forums users to convince you that Nofap or porn abuse is a legitimate thing- or that abstaining from porn can help you.

Go to your Doctor if you are not convinced- have blood tests done, have an examination and when/if the Doctor rules out any physical reason for your loss of erections perhaps you will be more open minded to what nofap community can offer.

Also masturbating for hours.... not good- it's a constant dopamine high- it's not just your dick that might loose sensitivity but your brain can become numb to things that should arouse you.

As for lube/no lube- I don't know if that's just aimed at circumcised guys but I have never used lube before...

I am just trying to understand one thing here,is the skin on my penis calloused to where sensitivity is lost? Or are the dopamine receptors that are worn from porn causing the ED. Thanks.
