    Hi!

In recent times I have been wondering wether pornography has affected the position of women in their society positively or negatively?

Your automatic reaction would obviously be that porn affects their position in a bad way. Arguments for this case will be left out of this post, as they will likely arise in the discussion itself.
But if you think harder about the matter, you could argue that the prominent premise of the actresses is to express their sexuality freely and make a change. Does this make them feministic advocates? Who knows.
You could also argue that they cleverly made use of men's weaknesses in an economy that allows sex work.

What do you guys think of the matter? Does pornography worsens the emancipatory position of women, or does it in a sense improves its position?

    I think pornography enslaves everybody...
Most women who get into the industry aren't expressing themselves freely. They are being pressured into acting like they enjoy things they don't want to do, led to permanently change their bodies to fit with more and more extreme standards of beauty, pressured to fill this fantasy or that fantasy, to give up their sexual limits so they can compete with the growing desensitization and extreme kink.

  4. Hi!
I think it does both. On one side we have this sexual liberation and freedom of expression thing, which is positive. But on the other side we have this other type of reality where they are objectifying themselves, which is negative. I think it is not better of worse, it about equals each other out. It's like the bigger and taller the tree grow the more deeper roots it develops.

It's funny though. Always when man is objectifying woman feminists make noise of how that is a bad thing. But when they objectify themselves it's called sexual expression. Haha.

It benefits the emancipation according to feminist's understanding. It keeps men weak and takes their standards away.
Also it destroys families. Having a family is oppression to feminists.

Thing with this is that it is what we have been told on platforms like NoFap. I'm not saying it is wrong, but I'm saying that we don't exactly know. There are various pornography actresses that state they love the free expression of their sexuality. Obviously I say this goes for all of them, I've been indulged in this too long now to not see there's forced prostitution around as well.

I agree with that, it has ambigious effects doesn't it? On the one hand we all (if we are to believe the hardcore third-wave feminists) are unknowingly slutshaming, but pornography (which stimulates their dieal fo free sexuality) is considered a bad thing. In their reasoning women should have the right to free sex with whomever they desire for whatever purpose (and I agree with that), but on if it is done on camera it is considered wrong.

After all, men do it themselves. A lot of pornography is directed by men, so in your reasoning men keep themselves weak. Having a family is not oppression for feminist, even someone who is not a feminist (like myself) can see that.

Yes and this is how most feminist campains work as well. They aim for the destruction of male solidarity, for example they want to force big businesses (and almost all of them were founded by men) to put women in leadership positions via gender quota and diversification laws, pushing men out of these positions who deserved them.

It's the oldest trick of feminists: claim victimhood and make someone powerful (still men) give them rights and privileges at the expense of men and even children. Bonus points for bashing men even more despite their disadvantages.

  8. Porn is fake. It is totally degrading to both men and women.

Why even say more? Because you probably have nothing better to do.

It is dehumanization in every sense of the word.

Porn sells fake “love” and promises satisfaction. What it really gives is the exact opposite. Fighters know what real love is. Don’t take fake.
