Happy Independence Day! Whether you live in America like me, or any other nation, I think we can all relate to wanting independence from the addictions in our lives.

When the founding fathers in America wrote the Declaration of Independence, it did in that instant not make them free. They still had a long war to win, and so do we.

I wish I could be free of pmo from this day forward, but I have a lot of battles ahead of me. I'm going to have to put up a fight (with my urges) in order to beat this thing. So far I'm on a decent streak away from porn, but MO is still challenging me right now.

My weapons I'm using in this fight right now...

    - Physically demanding tasks (running, working out, physical labor)
    - Spending time with others
    - Getting outside as much as possible
    - Spending daily time in prayer/meditation

    and Most Importantly...

    - Doing nice things that help other people (helping friends, helping strangers, volunteering)

PMO is a very selfish habit. I find doing selfless acts for others really helps to reverse my mental struggles, and it feels good too! So much better than a selfish pleasure that doesn't last.
