Decreasing levels of porn addiction

Hello everyone

I want to know if porn addiction induced fetish decreases as you heal from it or I would be drawn to the same genre if I watch porn again. For instance, when i started watching porn I used to watch softer material overtime it began to escalate to more extreme genres and what attracted me before no longer worked for me.
I'm curious to know if there'll have a reverse of course or I will have to be careful about it forever.
