If you want to stop, you can. Sheer will power. Start taking measures that put significant blocks up between you and porn. Delete your files. Keep reading here about how removing porn will change your life. Get convinced, start believing, and then just DO IT. You have to take full responsibility and take complete control of your addict brain. Demand that it stop. Say it out loud. Get busy learning something else; learn to cook a healthy meal.
If u really think ur unable to stop , give all your digital devices to one of your family members for a week and stay offline. Tell them ur on a week of digital detox and not to give it back before a week , once a week is passed , you'll be able to control better. Get a basic phone only to call and texts. One of the best way to steer tour brain from urges is to start reading a book , once you start reading and the book keeps you engaged , your thoughts towards porn will also go away. Best book suggestion would be any one tony robbins book. All the best. I was at the same stage 40 days back , but not anymore.
Find someone who will help you keep the count. Try it with him, you will feel relaxed. And opt for spiritual progression, it's currently helping me.
A day at a time, I will try. Goal right now then, is... no pmo through thursday 8am... that will be three days no pmo. I'll focus on today.
thanks. reaching out for support here is a huge help. appreciate you reaching out. i want to change but i feel sooo helpless. i'm focusing on taking actions to change my life.
man, my brain just wants more...ok...crap this is powerful...time to keep moving...not gonna today...I can do this. It's like porn and my dick are connected. How do I really break this connection? Astonished how imbedded this is.
It's really hard actually for not to think about it so what you can do is just push and remind yourself very clearly and firmly to not open the porn or mybe you can just laying down on yr bed and just don't do anything else utill you sleepy. I am here trying myself too. you can do it just believe to yr self.
I would suggest no PMO, go hardmode. If you are M'ing and O'ing, you are basically doing most of the behaviors that will lead to the P coming back. Go all in and stop PMO. You will feel great. You will miss out on nothing, I promise.
set yourself, everything in you against this thing, risk everything you have now, whether its friends etc and challenge yourself for once,if its too hard for a day, plan it hourly, and reward youself at the end of the day either by eating smoothie or such, observe every thought that comes to you and say no to it,,remember everything start from the mind,so control your thoughts, control your addiction,we are all here to helpe each other, feel free to express with us
You have to keep building up your streaks. I know that when I first tried nofap 2 years ago, I couldn't make it past day 1 and finally just gave up that year. Now I know that I can make it beyond 90 days before it starts to get really challenging for me. Luckily for me, I was never addicted to internet porn. Even back during pre-internet days I knew how powerful porn was and didn't let it control me. So I always eventually threw out porn magazines after a while and I didn't really keep any movies.
Just takes time man, be patient. Also if you fail, don't linger on it. Whats done is done, move on and improve. Anyways good luck and the important thing is you are taking the time to try.
Think about what you’re gaining from PMO, absolutely nothing, yes it is relaxing but so is reading, hunting, watching your favorite tv show. What I’m saying is try to find an activity you can replace pmo with. Stop before you have PEED, it’s horrible and pmo will only do that to you and hurt your sex life in the future. Best of luck to you buddy, you can do this
It's one day at a time mate. You're in the right place and you've made great progress by signing up to this community, accepting you have a problem and reaching out to try and make yourself better. Congratulate yourself for taking this step firstly, and then take one day at a time. It's important to identify your triggers at this time so you can give yourself the best chance of no PMO. For example, I have deactivated my Facebook and Instagram accounts so I no longer see provocative pictures of women all over my news feed which can lead to full scale PMO. I've also started a new exercise which involves me switching my attention immediately to something else if something remotely sexual pops up on TV. Sex is all around us these days so this exercise is helping me. Also... Google Your Brain on Porn. Read the whole website and watch the YouTube videos. Educate yourself on the damage that you are doing to yourself but also the benefits that can be achieved. Stick around this community and to learn and share with people going through similar experiences. I'm fairly new here myself and have my own struggles, but have not once felt judged here. Just fully supported and empowered. Keep going man. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If you keep fapping yourself senseless over digital women then expect your life to be the same as it is now forever. Good luck man
