Depression is hitting me even if I am in nofap PMO, I will not intend relapse for this motive because it would get only worse but I don't know what to do, now after taking an antidepressant, an integrator, caffeine and nicotine I feel better but depression is always around the corner.

    What do you suggest?

    Exercise. Better than any anti-depressant.

Anti-depressant, alcohol and all these sh*t are absolutely not a solution, i mean you need to find what is the exactly cause of your depression and the method for resolve your problem.

  4. C´mon .. you do not need nicotine and alcohol. It is addiction too. As ea1432 wrote above - it is not solution.
And what is solution for you then ? I don´t know. Everyone is different, my depression wouldn´t be same as yours, just like solution of it.
So, no one here will tell you exactly, step by step, how to get over it. Only you can - and that´s amazing.
But there is one thing that connects all kinds of depression - source. And source of most suffering in "normal" human life is paradoxically their own mind :) . Simple to read, hard to recognise.
Just some tips: Meditation, body exercise, reading, going for walk, being less on the computer/mobile etc. , put any plant somewhere into your bedroom (if you do not have any already), communicate with people, do what you are afraid of, do what you (really) enjoy

The first sign that you are healing is simple realization that you do not need your imaginary burden.

When depression hit me a few months ago, I started by going out and running and writing in a journal. Then I talked to a professional who recommended a treatment without antidepressants. I started reading books. I signed up for clubs/activities.

You know that all those drugs are just a 10 min illusion. After I quit smoking I became more positive and less angry....I have read a book by Allen Carr "Easy way to quit smoking".....it helped me, you should try it.

Depression is normal. It does not need medical drugs to fix it. Now days we have hyped up depression so much that just a feeling a of sadness for a while makes us feel we have some sort of mental disorder that needs fixing ASAP.

In fact, its the opposite. Its ok to feel such a way once in a while. Its a time to reflect on your actions and evaluate if they are taking them where you want to go and course correct accordingly.

Depression doesn't need nicotine or psychiatric medication (which rarely fixes it) It needs actions to fix it. Action is the best drug.

The tips here are really good. Also look out in the forums to find similar people or find an accountability partner (ideally one who is a bit further with his progress).

    That's cool.
My new AP recommended this book to me, I'm currently 1/3 trough. Sounds interesting, hope it'll work.
I came to similar conclusions just some weeks prior. Especially that relying on willpower wont work (for me, and probably for many others as well). One needs to have the correct mindset, to overcome this addition without raw force/willpower.

What were your main takeaways ?
