This is only my view on it , on the experience so it might not be the same for everyone else.
I think Pois is simply the body being confused (simple term) and "acting" on it.
Its some sort of CNS taxation rather then just simple fight or flight response.
In a flight or fight sitation, lets say a confrontation with someone else ,possibly even a fight , there is adrenaline rise, rapid heartbeat and more blood being redirected to other areas , usually this situation is somewhere between 1 and -5 minutes , on the next day you dont feel body aches and brain fog and lethargy (unless you got the dirt beat out of you but we'll just do by simple trash talk and walking away)
However there is something similar to this and that is running a marathon or super marathon on an empty stomach and the next day everything hurts and you dont want to do anything at all, not only your bones and muscles are hurting but your cns (central nervous system) is on a crash that leaves everything else on hold till it gets back up including your immune system (real over training does make everything worse in the body ,rather then just being a bit "sore")
Natural anxious( I believe some are born this way ) people tend to fall in this since anyone else I have come across never experienced such symptoms and they all admited to fapping ever since they were coming of age and still do, no problems what so ever.
This overstimulation (porn or fantasizing) in the brain causes the cns to "think" its doing "marathons" but there are no wheels spinning ,so its compensating by "acting up" by doing other chemical imbalances to make up thus you get muscle aches and brain fogs after.
Also there might be issue on how blood vessels constrict and dilate,sometimes being stuck in either way , perhaps alot of people who have anxiety might have bad circulation in general.
