Hey guys looking for information I’m currently on day 6 of no porn, no orgasm feeling good definitely feeling the benefits less shame and anxiety day to day, clearer head, but I’m worried if I have sex with my girl that this would negate these effects? Do I not have sex is my question based on the benefits of, I feel like I kinda don’t want to.. I mean I do but I wanna stay strong and fight the urge, also had a mild sex addiction too.

Some guys on this are delusional fanatics and they might tell you to avoid sex. But in reality sex is completely fine, natural and healthy. Getting intimate with a real woman is actually very beneficial when it comes to rewiring.

    To clarify @skaterdrew’s comment:

Some people go no-sex b/c a reboot is often done for 90 days (sex addicts do 90 days of no sex to get ”sober”) to give the brain time to rewire itself.

For some, you go thirty days no PMO and no sex, you make the sweet love and have an orgasm that feels incredible and your porn-addictecbrain starts to try to get that fix and you find yourself looking at P.

Personally, I go for the middle ground. I do everything but the sausage stays in the pants--I focus on my partners pleasure and being in the moment.

Sorry I forgot that some people on this forum might also be recovering from sex addiction. I was more looking at it from the point of recovering from porn addiction, porn induced sexual dysfunctions etc.

I actually believe getting intimate with real women is a good thing for rewiring because what fires together wires together. Many guys on this have had little or no sexual experience with real women, and this is actually a big reason they can't perform when it comes to sex. So they are seriously wired and sexually conditioned to masturbating to porn and artificial sexual stimulation, because of all the years they have heavily engaged in that behaviour.

But because they haven't had much or any sexual experience or intimacy with real women, this behaviour is basically alien to their brain. Their brain doesn't send the sexual cues when they are getting intimate with real women. However their brain does send the sexual cues when they go on their computer or on their smartphone etc. Because what fires together wires together.

Some good points. Intimacy is good and should be done whenever possible. And if one can handle the sex, go for it.

Great information guys appreciate it! I think it’s different for everyone and what you feel you need to do, I personally think it would be fine to have sex but because I feel I have a sex addiction, i want to go cold turkey from both porn and sex.

so yeah like someone said on here keep the sausage in the pants lol! focus on her and continue doing nothing for at least a Month. It’ll be a challenge But I’m loving the benefits as early as day 6, I don’t want to jeopardise or risk a relapse, until I get my brain rewired somewhat. I also want to build up my will power for sex.

I’m on a high right now good mood low anxiety so I’m keep going steady! Cheers guys!
