Has anyone observed a link between the coffee and PMO? I have quitted coffee once more two months ago. This time for good. I had terrible withdrawal symptoms and I still think I am not quite fine. But it seems to me that I have less PMO urges.

Any addiction involves dopamine so maybe there is indeed the link between coffee and PMO addiction, at least for some.

I don't drink caffeine at all but still fap wayy too much. I can see how a stimulant like coffee could make you want to fap more though. Everyone is wired dif. If you've made a connection between coffee and fapping than don't drink coffee. Its not good for you anyway and makes your teeth yellow

Coffee is relatively harmless in moderate doses, and contrary to your claims, coffee is not bad for your health. A 2008 Harvard medical school study found that people who drank up to six cups a day were at no higher risk of death than those who did not. Of course if you drink 6 plus cups a day, you will become dependent and the overload of caffeine does more harm than good, but coffee in general is safe.

Actually, several studies have proven Coffee drinkers live longer and have a lower risk for many chronic diseases such as heart disease or diabetes.

About 30% of people, however, experience the anxiety inducing effects of coffee more than the stimulating effects (me).

Also, coffee is definitely not helpful in terms of re-wiring. I'm going to write a post about it soon, full of scientific citations for you nerds out there.

    I also quit drinking coffee,

It's not directly related. But the willpower is like a muscle, so when you start flexing it , it serves you on all fronts. You work on your willpower not to fap, suddenly you have will power not to drink coffee, not to eat to junk, to exercise. It's a healthy procces that fuels itself.

That's too bad you experience the anxiety inducing effects... The only real reason I drink it is to be alert and focused during lectures and/or studying. I try not to drink it often though so my tolerance remains fairly low and constant.

I know, it sucks because I love the damn stuff. I still drink it but very little.

That's a good way to go about it, that way it works when you need it to

Thank you all for the feedback!

I have some minimal caffein in the green tea but in the past, when I drank coffee, I tended to drink stronger and stronger versions of it. That's dangerous.

I have read somewhere that regular coffee drinkers should take six weeks a year off to rebalance their system. That way they do not become addicted as I was.

I am looking forward to the scientific post!
