I keep talking how porn is extremely damaging because it trains you to want another man have sex with the woman you watch while you are only an observer but i think fantasizing in itself is also in 3rd person.

Trying to understand fantasizing, it seems to me that the only true 1st person experiences of fantasy are either dreams or hypnosis. Anything except those is actually a combination of 1st with 3rd person, and it's predominantly 3rd person.

Even if it's a sex fantasy or any other fantasy, it appears that the experience is that of a watcher of a scene rather than a participant. The more i look into it, the more i think it's impossible to have a true 1st person fantasy, but it's rather you looking on yourself (and others). It's you watching yourself having sex. (Or you watching yourself scoring a goal or something)

    What is your opinion?

  2. I'm unsure if I understand the question, but I think it depends more on the genre of porn. I mean, that's the whole point of POV porn, isn't it? Because it's easier to fantasize that it's you down there? I guess that would be more of a 1st person type, maybe? Like you mentioned before, though, no matter how much you want that to be you down's not.

I like how you think about this stuff.
I have even found myself essentially viewing myself (and the girl) whilst having sex, and I don't mean with video or a mirror.
    Not really a healthy thing.

    1st person.
It's you who create the fantasy and you are identifying yourself with your own imagination.

I've noticed that when I have that porn arousal effect in my brain, I fantasize in 3rd person like I'm looking at a scene. I only watched solo female videos but I still fantasized about looking at the whole scene from 3rd person. But as time goes by, and I start losing the porn induced arousal, my fantasies are in 1st person, with me engaging. Also the fantasies become less dirty and more sensitive when I abstain from porn.

  7. I mostly fantasize in the first person, just because I know that is how I will perceive it. Not often but sometimes I do fantasize in the 3rd person, except I am still the male in the fantasy.
  8. When I fantasize, it's almost always in 3rd person. I'm not heterosexual so I've never had a problem with watching men with women. I've never viewed it as a competition. I probably have very little in common with most guys here in that regard.
