Do you think this new age of porn is much worse than previous more addictive

Porn is addictive and therefore it's users suffer from escalation. No wonder that now we've had porn for a couple of decades the extremity of the material needed to arouse the average person has increased, so "mainstream" porn is now more extreme.

I wish I could say something cheery, but for as long as most people are using pornography this will only get worse. Just as a cocaine user requires higher doses to keep the "honeymoon period" going, so does the porn user need more depraved and shocking content to stay hard. All we can do is raise awareness and live abstinent lives ourselves.

 

I think it is getting worse yes. The porn industry has had a good 15 years of unrivaled chances of perfecting their online capabilities. The online porn imperium is so ingrained in all that is online that it's prevalence is only going to get greater

People now more develop weird fetish because all porn is free to watch,and most people watch porn just to escape from reality.Those people do not pay attention how porn change his/her life in bad side.

 

It's the access that's so damaging. Instead of walking in a store to purchase this stuff you can incognito a browser and stream until your hearts content. I worry about my son. I have an 8 year old and know that he'll stumble on this eventually. Over Christmas we had some kids over for a family Christmas and one took his tablet and was looking at nudes. I know it's a matter of time and what do i say to him? Sorry for hijacking the topic lol

Most definitely! The child's parents actually left, on there own, after he was caught. Luckily my son is at an age that sees nudity as funny and not sexual.

 

I am an older guy (31) and I tell you it has always been very degrading and violent. Even in 2002-3 I remember watching group stuff where the men were doing everything roughly with the women.

It's all easily accessible. There are sex scenes in TV and movies, and it's all considered normal. It's only becoming more graphic with each passing movie. Not watching porn is considered uncool. Remaining a virgin is considered uncool. Unlike drugs, there is no taboo associated with porn. With drugs and cigarettes, at least the person knows that drugs (and cigarettes) are harmful, so that knowledge may control his intake. But with porn there is very less awareness that it is harmful for the mind.

cause even if u educated ur son, u cant tell the other parent do some education on this, heck maybe they suffered porn addiction and no realizing it

What's worse is the porn of the past that is now fully accessible.

Now I have found the porn that I used in the video stores. The actresses that I missed and moved on from have now reappeared in my life.

Thankfully i found nofap and got educated and decided i didnt want that life anymore but what about the next generation that have no clue the rabbit hole theyre about to go down? And no kids as young as 3 or 4 have tablets so the age they are exposed could potentially get younger! Im worried about what this new age of porn will due to our youth and they dont even know what they’re getting into.

I’ve been lucky not to fall into this escalation. My porn has always been low key. The hardcore kinky stuff never did for me and it turns me off..

Back before streaming porn, you had to attend the video store to buy or rent your porn.

With the fast availability of porn for no money and no accountability there are more people who's casual curiosity has evolved into a fetish. Now that more people are hooked, there is probably more fetish porn out there.

 

Clearly the free porn sites and downloads are having a huge effect with those who have the privacy to view it. You can solve the problem by pulling the plug on your internet access. It's fantasy at best, at the worst it is the most awful freak show of abuse as can be imagined, there is a lot of sick crap out there that should be outlawed.

Even the Puritans believed in openness; by keeping things hidden they usually get worse, you can't heal what you can't feel either. If you were in proximity to what is being filmed you would be disgusted by the smells and how small and shrunken the actors are usually.
