This will be my last post on this thread because it's getting nowhere. I'll keep it brief.

Your experiences are not universal. Just because you cannot incorporate porn or masturbation into your life in a healthy way, does not mean that no one can. If you had a peanut allergy, you could say that consuming peanuts makes you feel terrible, but that doesn't mean that peanuts are not part of a healthy lifestyle for anyone.

Some people may go their whole lives masturbating in moderation without anything to worry about, just as some people drink in moderation and see no consequences. We are not those people; otherwise we would not be here. No one is encouraging you to start doing something that makes you feel unhappy or unhealthy, but your personal views and feelings do not comprise a legitimate health claim.

I'm not trying to change your personal views. In fact, I very much respect how you uphold your beliefs. It's just that what is right for you isn't necessarily right for everyone.

  2. I did not initially realise I'd waded into a 'science v religion' debate. As that is what it is, and that doesn't interest me, I'll let it be.

  4. The thing is humans have been doing it since humans have existed, so a doctor who is concerned with your physical and mental well being isn't going to jump to any conclusion that the reason you are depressed, lonely, can't talk to girls and never leave the house is because you masturbate too much. I mean if you keep doing it in public or walk into the doctors surgery with your hand down your pants then they might very well say 'right that really does seem to be a problem' The issue is many of them would have got their medical degrees over a decade ago, it takes a very long time to qualify to become a GP and the information they are going on may not be up to date and relevant to the current phenomenon of PMO especially where easy to access free online porn is concerned. I don't think GP's get a lot of men going to them saying 'i just can't stop viewing internet porn and it's ruining my life' although I have seen reports that there is an increase in people raising these issues with their doctors, but some of these guys are real old school types, so i think it's maybe down to a lack of knowledge as opposed to any lack of genuine concern. For example my doctor doesn't see anything wrong with the fact I don't watch porn any more and neither does he think masturbating 1 or 2 times a month is going to cause me any serious problems and he knows about my previous problems with online porn. I see it more as being about myself respecting and being aware of my sexual energy and not doing anything which could cause harm to others hence why internet porn of all kinds is out of the question

There is also "harm" and ideal say what an athlete would be doing for peak performance. Emotional damage, damage to self-esteem, to your soul/chi [ is you believe in that sort of thing.] Hair loss, loss of the very peak of physical performance. None of these things would be considered harmful by most doctors.

With psychotropic drugs, administered by doctors, some of the known side effect besides destroying your libido, robbing you of energy, and I assume lowering testosterone. Even mention is the side effect of shortened life span. Yet they are considered "safe". I think if a drug takes you from fit and healthy to overweight and out of shape it's not very healthy at all or safe.

Maybe being a bit pedantic? While not technically correct and good of you to correct him on that he still has a point. Yeah, sperm is not a hormone, but your semen does have hormones in it and ejaculating does affect your hormone levels. I think masturbation lowers my testosterone [ don't really give a shit how it affects yours as that has no effect on me] Ejaculating according to some science converts some of your testosterone to DHT. Apparently, just rigorously tugging your dick does this as well. Due to experience I'm inclined to believe it.

Why is it that when a religious person speaks their mind they are "forcing their beliefs on someone" ? I didn't see a gun to anyone's head rather just someone sharing their opinion. How is he forcing his beliefs anymore than you are?

I think masturbation and sexually immorality have been "forced on me" with light force through manipulation, social programming [ tv, school, music, peer pressure] and as well as threats and intimidation, and I think society is lying about the effects of these immoral acts. I'm not going to wait for the very source of this corruption to enlighten everyone and declare that masturbation is harmful.

Meanwhile, anyone contradicts the current narrative/ social agenda they are accused of "forcing their beliefs on someone".

This website is not the place to spread your religion. Full Stop.

I'm sorry if my statement was incorrect and offended you. I was quoting a source I found online.

I agree with what you are saying, and I understand that despite what the internet says, reality is so far from it.

Doctors say masturbation is healthy to make yourself masturbate, get addicted to it and make you unhealthy. And then when you become weak, they will make you use their products and make money out of you. Its an international business. Masturbating to porn will make you weak, anxious, guilty, coward, demotivated and emasculated. So before you masturbate, don't ask the doctor, ask your body. Your body will tell the right answer.
