Usually most mornings I wake up thinking about sex. I control myself not to MO but does the fantasy hinder reboot? They are about real women not P but do they fire the same neurological pathways as P?

I have the same as this, to be honest I should probably get up straight away and take a shower to take my mind off of it. as long as youre not watching P or MOing to be honest its probably not doing any damage, just your brain craving. makes it easier if you get up and forget about it though.

Actions start with thoughts. Control the mind, control the body.

Will fantasizing about sex help or hurt your reboot process? You're just teasing yourself.

You can't help waking up to fantasy if that's what you were dreaming about, but you need to stop once you're awake/conscious/back in control, don't continue the fantasy it definitely hinders a reboot, it will make you much more likely to PMO. You need to distract your mind from the fantasy or keep busy some other way. I think everyone here is telling you the same thing.

Of course, because fantasizing is identical to porn. It's mental porn with images created by your brain.

I could have more intricate and detailed fantasies in my head that the scenes in porn.

Willfully, yes. Admiring and entertaining such thoughts isn't healthy from experience. I've found that training my thought process to be positive is far more rewarding in terms of the measure of control it lends to. I used to have far more frequent fantasies, but not as much now. Still one hell of a struggle but getting better.

In short, yes, BUT I will say it's very normal to wake up to this stuff. Happens to me every morning, too. Like someone else said, you just don't want to dwell on them, and don't jerk off. Just smile about the nice thought and move on to your day. Throughout the day try not to focus on the fantasies too much or it will absolutely interfere with your reboot.
