Does looking at hot pics of girls count as a relapse?

I see what you are saying @Jungler, but these are not random sexual images. He is talking about intentionally viewing the images that stimulate him the most! As this is what he wants to heal from it must be, by definition, a relapse for him.

If you look to the pic intentionally (which you obviously aim to do), then it counts as a relapse. If you get a pic of a hot girl though through an ad, a pop-up or in an unexpected video, it does not count when you close it instantly. When you keep staring to one of these pics, then it counts though.

Do not play with fire. Looking to pics of hot girls only re-actives the old system and causes dopamine to flow through your body, like in PMOing.

Im not intentionally looking at the photos but was rather trying to gain insight on if I was to accidentally look at the pictures. Because I know, if i look for a good 5-10 seconds the rush of thoughts will come flowing through my mind of what I would want to do with that girl - sexually of course. But yeah, that is definitely the main cause of my masturbating addiction and I have done everything i could to remove the triggers - such as deleting all celebs of snapchat, unfollowing hot girls on twitter/instagram. So far so good.

Never trick yourself saying "I was doing it unintentionally". If you see a hot pic, ALT+F4 at once.
Well, instagram and other social media are just like porn for me. I stopped using them, perhaps you should consider limiting their usage or stop using them at all. It is a great feeling to use social media rarely. I just have Facebook, and that's because of friends and family.

Whatever you decide, you are your own master and only you are responsible for your actions. Stay strong, brother!

Hmm, thank you for clarifying this because that is not what you implied in your opening post.

So accidental vs intentional is a big difference. Erotica isn't a drug, where simple contact causes brain changes simply through contact. You have to be willing. Here is the problem though, as an addict you're willing, and during the healing phase there is real danger in putting something up causing you to want to break the reboot.

(not to sound too much like a prude, because believe me I'm not...)
The core of whats actually wrong in our addiction, is that we have been objectifying women and we've formed false attachments of feelings to attributes of women we've never been with. A metaphore I like is that It's like learning to sing the lyrics of the song while the music is playing. Our addiction is one where many of us, can't sing the lyrics if the music isn't playing. Meaning that we've formed such strong attachment of desire to images/sounds, that we have problems being aroused when with a real partner. For instance, even in these posts the word 'hot' was used to describe the pics. How many of us actually have met or made love to those women? How do we know that she feels higher quality sexually, on that night after being dressed that way? How do we know that we connect with her as a person? The answer is that we don't but we've pushed our brain to that kind of mode, and when a real person comes into our life, we don't feel the same sense of fire. (to be fair, I see pics as hot too, but I've come to understand that's my problem.)

Anything that continues to sell the message that 'this is hot', isn't a good thing during the reboot. It doesn't give us the space to let real people in. It continues the process of objectification without any empirical data, and it keeps those false associations alive.

your the one who usually deems what counts as a relapse. "granted it's within acceptable parameters" problem with PMO is that it's EVERYWHERE on the internet, youtube, Facebook, Instagram are one piece of cloth away from being porn. very fine line. it's not easy, during this streak I came across countless triggers and I always look away within 5 sec. but yesterday I woke up early morning, couldn't sleep, started reading an article and there was a clickbait I followed deliberately, I was half a sleep, it was related to cheerleader wardrobe malfunction or something like that. it didn't have nudity or anything but there was very revealing things. should I consider this as a relapse? I don't know. should I reset my counter to 0. problem with this approach is that once u set ur counter to 0 again u will be like screw it it's set to 0 I might as well enjoy my time and go fap 50 days. so going from seeing random pics on the internet of revealed girls to masturbating again to porn and ruining all the progress ........ just cause u deemed seeing pics online that are not even nudity as relapse........................ with this approach u won't last a week without resetting unless your living in the wilderness with no access to internet u'll always stumble upon clickbaits and pics of half naked women. now I'm sitting here thinking if I deemed what I did yesterday as a relapse I'll 100% go binge since 0 means 0 and I might as well go fap and relief myself, but I know if I go do that I won't stop until I get to the same lvl of novelty I stopped at and I would end up feeling tired, sad, miserable and weak especially after fapping. my life changed too much to deem few pics as a relapse cuz I don't want to go back to my old miserable life prior to august

I don t think that it s a relapse. I remember myself watching some p at the start of my journey but didn t fap, didn t even make me hard because I realized that shit is not real, I am fappin to my computer screen... of course I had urges but I said not this time.
I count it as a relapse if you watch to enjoy it, if you do that frequently.
