Your ignorance is impeccable. Cite the study or studies that unequivocally proves other animals lack conscious introspection.

Besides that, you clearly couldn't connect the dots. I don't quite know how else to explain it though. Masturbation is clearly a biological function, as is eating. You can voluntarily stop eating, but you'll die as Gandhi almost did. You can voluntarily stop masturbating, but will it serve any purpose?

NoFap claims it not only doesn't serve a purpose, but is healthy not to. Which implies there is not only no healthful gain to masturbating, but actually a detraction to your health for doing so. I would like to see a study that shows this as well, that would be a sight for sore eyes.

The reason NoFap has succeeded with convincing an ignorant minority with its claims of addiction being as little as once a month (if I recall the claim correctly) is simply due to this kind of inaccurate understanding of what addiction really is. They have managed to convince people that a single instance of a biological function is addiction, quite a comedic tale in my opinion.

Saving face is probably the best retreat at that point I guess, no worries.

Sheesh I dunno what’s happening on this thread lol I guess everyone got a different take regarding the legitimacy of NoFap. Some say it does, some say no. One thing I’m sure is that after I relapse (with or without porn), I feel less energy than before, less motivation to do daily disciplines and I feel generally weak. My mental focus and memory is affected depending on the amount of times I relapsed. I didn’t feel shame but my mind was generally weak basically. No cap.

I guess it’s subjective, if one believes it works then it works. Not everyone is blessed to indulge in PMO and still excel in life (It can be any addiction). Others like me who spent most of their life having low self-esteem and low confidence has to find a way to improve themselves. Thing is, one does not simply become confident just because they decided to be confident or someone says they should be confident. You must prove to yourself that you really are worth it by having something to be proud of, like having unparalleled skill on a craft.

Overall, I think NoFap is part of the puzzle for me. It gives me something to be proud of. Thus, giving me confidence because I accomplished something that most people don’t, making me feel special. It might sound sad but it’s true, having to rely on NoFap for confidence. Atleast that’s how I think. I’ll depend on NoFap for the time being but whether if it IS true generally is something I’m unsure of. It’s like determining the true religion.

There’s alotta questions I have but questions leads to another questions ig.

I would say that NoFap Hardmode resets you to a baseline human. I've found the process to personally have taken around 30 days of hardmode with no mind altering substances. The "superpowers" that people feel are a damaged person experiencing normalcy for the first time in a very long time, and having conquered a central part of their life use it as a springboard to conquer other aspects of their life, be it excercise, eating right, meditation, spirituality, etc.

So according to you, almost every mammal out there is experiencing a lesser existence because they masturbate? Dude, masturbation is natural, tons of species, including humans obviously, do it. Your ideas on addiction are very warped. The shame of it is, as anyone should be able to tell, there is an arrogance to you with your beliefs. So it's doubtful you'll even listen to anyone on the subject, even if they had scientific backing you'd still meander about in your blind theories.
