Does Satan make music?

I listen to extreme Satanic and Luciferian metal when I relapse. Coincidence? Yes. I happened to get into the metal some years ago and so already knew about it, and being that I am intoxicated when I act out my inhibitions are completely gone. All that's missing is a Satanic altar room and a ceremony when I fap.

I think you misinterpret my meaning, and perhaps i yours. There is a danger in Christianity to be too pedantic - missing the forest for the trees, so to speak. There are times where it is appropriate to whip the money lender, and times it is appropriate to dine with the sinner. If the disciples could gleam wheat on the Sabbath despite a clear commandment not to do so, I certainly am free to enjoy Bob Marley with a fellow in the name of friendship and charity.

Paul also says in 1 Cor 9:21-22: "To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some."

On another note, it is wrongheaded if someone infers that being a Christian is merely "being good" at self discipline. In fact, if that were the only point, there would be no need for Christ. Obviously, the point is to be Christ-like.

Ironically, Christians prefer to discuss music rather than poverty. Yet, an examination of the Gospel would suggest poverty is essential to the Christian life, especially if one considers the apostles. Why is this? I think maybe it is so we can stop focusing on how loathsome we are, how in need of redemption and salvation, and instead pat ourselves on the back. It is, after all, an easily obtainable goal.

Yet, if being perfect is our goal, if we truly want to be more than a good example, if we want to be a Christ-like example, we would "sell all we have and give to the poor". Would we not?

This is why i don't get too excited about the music thing. If it makes you feel good, have at it. But it seems to me a rather poor example of what it means to be a follower of Christ. And as for shining the "light of Christ"? I don't see it. I see the light of man.

Sorry for the delay in this reply, I've had a few days away from home is all.

I agree with almost everything you say here; I really appreciate the scriptural references, and I've updated my view somewhat as a result. You clearly know your Bible, and whilst I still stand by everything I've written here, your reference to 1 Cor 9:21-22 has made me see our freedom in Christ in a new light; not only as a blessing and display of God's love, but also as a practical mechanism for evangelism. Thank you for that insight - what you have said is true.

I too appreciate your well-written arguments, and am sure that God will use us both for his purposes. As you say, minor trivialities aside, we really are on the same page; and definitely the winning team!

The arrogant one who disobeyed Allah when Allah asked him to prostate before Adam. The one who kept whispering into Adam and Eve (both) until they finally ate the forbidden fruit. The one who sits in the path of righteousness to offtrack the believers. The one who is definitely not a friend of good people. The one who vowed to prove Allah that humans are of no good.

Satanic music is mostly a counter-culture thing that started in Norway, and a very small portion really worship Satan. They admit it themselves in interviews. As for anti-Islamic music, it rarely exists. Given that I come from the Middle East I can attest to that, although you'll find examples such as:
Calling Allah a pig basically.

For every current there exists a counter current. Stop being babies, wipe your diapers, and enjoy the inevitable.
