Hi, I'm new here and started my reboot on the beginning of the month.
I'm married and been with my wife in total of 8 years.
Porn definitely had a huge impact on me, and rebooting already feels better, but every girl I see on the street makes me think if my wife is the right one for me. There are so many good looking girls out there and it drives me crazy.
Does that feeling ever gonna go away?

I have had periods where it goes away. There are always beautiful women, but we don’t have to be chemically wired to react or become infatuated with them. It’ll also get better the more intentional you are about celebrating your wife and not reacting to those women.

    Welcome!

All pornography is anti-love because it divorces the personhood from the sex act. By removing what is unique and irreplaceable for every individual, their personhood, we become trained to desire people based on that which is replaceable, such as their exterior beauty. Now I'm not married, but I'm sure those feelings will go away with time, provided you grown in intimacy with your spouse and continue on your recovery journey.

One of my favorite quotes regarding pornography is by St. Pope John Paull II, when he said:

There is no dignity when the human dimension is eliminated from the person. In short, the problem with pornography is not that it shows too much of the person, but that it shows far too little.

Right now you're trying to unwire probably years of being trained to just focus on a part of the individual person and not the entire person, and this has most likely crept into your marriage. Try to take some time and reflect on what is irreplaceable about your wife, as well as with yourself. Then think about the vows you both made to cherish each others irreparability and protect it from the spirit of objectification.

It will go away as soon as you rationalize it. As soon as you realize the nonsense that is having second thoughts about your wife just for the looks of other women.

Sorry for the harsh words, but it's just the way I see it.
