So almost a few weeks ago, one week before Christmas, I edged like crazy, I felt intense blue balls.

It went away after, but for about a week or so after I edged, I had a tenderness in my left nut. Thankfully, so greatful, it went away. But literally for a week I avoided running, jumping, etc. the pain wasn’t terrible but it ached. It started to concern me.

now, I have examined down there a couple of days ago and it looks good. No swelling or pain, but now, I plan to never edge again. Let alone masturbate, it reminds me of the dangers of edging and masturbation as a whole even altogether, I’m using it as fuel to fight this addiction, I will win. We will win.

  2. Edging can be so terrible, in the past I would relent and give in because the pain would be too much. So now even the thought of looking I quickly do something else. Acknowledge the thought exists and move onto a healthier activity.

It sucks. I found myself trying to justify edging for so long... "Well, I didn't orgasm!" like that made it okay. It hurts your balls, it makes you long for more, and then you just kinda give up sometimes. It's important to just grab that temptation to look at porn or edge and run as far from it as possible.

  4. Yes! Run! Either for real or figuratively! And I usually rationalize or justify going "There" if I hurt.

  5. Take it from someone who has engaged in this activity for more than a decade: edging is the single worst thing you can subject your body to. It's my opinion that it is potentially worse than moderate-to-severe alcoholism and many, if not most, drug addictions. It's better you learn this sooner than later.

Since you quit and started doing nofap, how is life going now? what kind of effect has edging tolled on your health and what have you noticed as for improvement so far in your recovery?

  7. To be honest, I haven't exactly quit. I'm trying and doing my best, improving slowly but surely.

Effects of edging on my life? See my thread here:
    https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?threads/symptoms-associated-with-edging-withdrawal.323763/

The things that seem to improve the fastest are my anxiety and general tension. Both of these things get markedly better within 10-15 days. My longest streak was a year or two ago and it was a couple weeks, 2 or 3. I had started to feel more confident as well. That's a symptom I forgot to list in my thread: loss and lack of confidence. That's a big one. I honestly think every part of the PMO acronym is bad. Some people think MO without P is fine. There are many theories. My theory is that it all sucks and is unnatural but that there is absolutely nothing worse than edging, especially for hours at a time and years on end. This will destroy anyone.
