Hey everybody. I hope all of you be ok and healthy and your sobrieties go well! Yesterday I went to a neurologist and explained my conditions to him. He gave me Buspirone (Buspar). When I searched through the net I found out that it is a dopamine antagonist drug. When I researched more I found out that dopamine antagonists may be are our answers. These drugs block dopamine receptors from sensing dopamine in our brain. So let's analyze how these kinds of medicines could help us. As you know porn addiction is very similar to drug addiction. By watching porn for hours and hours we make a dopamine flood in our brain. This will cause the brain to lower dopamine receptors sensitivity through the time... As we consume more porn, our dopamine receptors become less sensitive... it is the reason we cannot enjoy regular things in our life anymore and finally we stuck in social anxiety, depression and anxiety disorders. By knowing these facts, we finally decide to get over porn and get back to normal life! But as we decide to stop using porn for recovery, the problems begin called as "dopamine withdrawal symptoms" which are related to dopamine imbalances in the brain. For me, these symptoms are: Insomnia, anxiety, brain fog, lack of concentration and hot flashes. As we stop using porn, our brain starts to rehabilitate itself. Dopamine receptors sensitivity will gradually come back. But it takes time! and during this time we will experience dopamine withdrawal symptoms considering that our receptors cannot sense regular dopamine releases in our brain. However, our receptors already have started increasing their sensitivity, but they need more time and during this time we experience awful symptoms... So let's go back to dopamine antagonists. This is my deduction. By taking these pills, we will block receptors from sensing dopamine more than before! The sensitivity of our receptors was low considering our conditions, and, by taking these pills we block them of sensing dopamine... Therefore, as the brain can't sense dopamine (considering that we had blocked dopamine receptors), it starts to rehabilitate dopamine receptors quicker and increase their sensitivity in order to sense more dopamine! So in this way, we can speed up our dopamine receptors recovery and finally get over all these symptoms more quickly and get back to life... However, considering that these pills have some dopamine blocking characteristics, it might make our dopamine withdrawal symptoms worse for the first 2-3 weeks. But it can make the recovery faster! Anyway, this was my deduction considering the researches I've done. I don't know how much of this deduction is correct or if it is correct at all or not! If anyone has any information about this, please consider approving or denying my deduction in the comments. I will be so grateful to read your experiences and researches for this topic. We should help each other to recover faster and go back to normal life! Finally, sorry if my English wasn't good enough! "One who saves one man, He saves all the humanity"
