I will start my thread with a quote I find very interesting and motivating:

    I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. /Thomas Edison/

I think that each failure teaches us something and we should not let it be discouraging, or feel bad about it. I recently started NoFap and since then I have relapsed once. I almost did 3 weeks without porn, and 9 days without any masturbation, when one night I went out and got drunk. When I came back home I watched porn, and you know what followed next. The first 2-3 days afterwards I felt terrible. I could not stop myself from masturbating and watching porn. Moreover, I felt tired and lost my motivation. The worst was that my confidence and self-esteem went down. I felt miserable, felt less man, a failure. It took me 3 full days to manage to recover from this emotional state. The things that pulled me out of it were my thoughts. Your read it correct and I want to repeat it once again- my THOUGHTS helped me get out of this emotional state. I convinced myself how bad porn is and how negatively it affects me. I also tried to think positively and persuaded myself that I can do it, and that I will feel better and healthier once I get rid of this addiction. Another thing that helped me was watching funny movies/animations. I am convinced that they can fill you with positive emotions and can make you feel better, happier, and more positive. So now when I am a week away from my last masturbation/watching porn I want to sum up the things I learnt from my first relapse.

#1- believe in yourself, be positive, convince yourself that you CAN AND MUST, and that porn is BAD for you; #2-understand that relying merely on motivation will not help you get far- you have to have A BURNING DESIRE to quit porn, you have to realize what the BENEFITS of quitting are, and you have to BELIEVE that you can do it (kind of repeats #1, but its true- we do/become what we think!) #3 there are some things that can decrease your willpower such as drugs, alcohol, cigars, others.
So my advice is don t be too hard on yourself- believe that you can, and you WILL do it. It is not only about porn it is also about life- a positive mindset can help you achieve your dreams, a negative one can send you to the bottom of the ocean.
PS English is not my native language, so I am sorry for the mistakes I have made in my thread
