    I read a very interesting article few days ago on edging.

    It's never been in my nature to follow and do things 100 percent exactly like everyone else so I read and research a lot on everything.

    I have beaten a severe drug addiction without the twelve step program which many people thought was not possible.

    Anyways back to edging.

    I don't believe that if you suffer from ed or pe that NoFap alone will make you any better in bed. In fact I read often people here complaining that their PE got worse from just abstaining.

    As edging to porn is 100 percent bad and will probably lead to relapse it's definitely a strategy used by many people out there including adult video stars to last longer in bed which guys with ed and pe need very badly.

    The only way to really control orgasam is to edge in my view. The best sessions would be with the partner however this is not practical for everyone as many do not have regular partners etc.

    After I reach my 90 days I will start to practice edging with my gf to try and get my experiene to last longer and better.

    A lot of people do not have partners to edge with.

    This is why the article I read on was edging without P to increase Intercourse time.

    In fact it's recommend by a lot of people as a fight against PE and ED.

    If you already have pe I don't see how just abstaining will get you any better in the act itself. If anything it will make pe worse.
     
  5. I always do this whenever I have sex with my wife. Good thing is she always comes, bad thing is I sometimes lose my erection because of fatigue or stray thoughts.

    dude. That’s the muscle that stops the per stream and tightens you bunghole. There is no way to use it involuntarily unless you are ejaculation or masturbating or sexing. Maybe if you did some exercises with it you wouldn’t have problems with it being involuntary.

  8. In general, we should be careful about medical advice here. I certainly am not a doctor, however, Mayo Clinic is a great medical center with a good reputation.

    I agree, I am in the medical field and I’m consistently seeing people bring up different medical advice around here. It usually comes after veering way off the topic. I can tell you with truth that kegels in general are not a harmful thing. In this forum, using the contraction of your what I call “Pisser Muscle” will defeat the purpose of nofap. I also heard brought up reverse kegels. These can be done in the same way that one uses to poop or for men when you speed up the stream of urine. Both are actually very beneficial in every stage of life. It’s never to late to do these. It’s always helpful unless there is some preexisting issue.
    Can we all agree to not spread misinformation or half truths. the point of the original poster was to talk about his experience with tightening his sphincter/pisser muscle to get off and he didn’t realize he was actually edging and defeating to purpose of his NoFap.

    Are you really sure your muscle contractions are involuntary ??? It seems unlikely, but only you know for sure. If you ARE actively engaging in muscle contractions with the intent of stimulation, you need to decide if that is consistent with you journey's goals and objectives.

    Go think about it and make a decision that is right for you.

    Short version: DO NOT EDGE ! EVER !

    Edging is really bad. Edging trains your body and mind to expect and to need prolonged, often very intense, stimulation in order to reach O. That level of mental and physical stimulation doesn't happen with PIV relations. Guess what: when you attempt PIV, your body and mind don't receive the kind of stimulation it needs to O, instead your body responds with PIED and DE. Not good.

    Edging does NOTHING good, so stop. Easier said than done, but it is certainly NOT impossible and very much worth every bit of effort required to stop this damaging activity.

    I have never viewed flexing the PC muscle as edging really. I mean sometimes I would get a nice sensation, but it was relatively minor and never have done the flexing to pursue this. I did it strictly for the strengthening the PC muscle for a stronger erection and to last longer in the bedroom since i have always suffered from PE at one time or another. Plus i hear it has it benefits for Prostate health when done and used properly.
    I see both sides of the arguement here and agree with both sides simply because everyone is different.
