I have tested low for testosterone and my doctor wants to start me on a gel supplement. Wondering how it might affect my struggle with PM? Will the urges be more difficult to control, or will my mood and confidence be improved so I won't want PM as much? Would appreciate hearing some other guys' experiences, positive or negative. Thank you.

If you are determined then why do you even care if the urges get strong, why don't you get stronger ?
ps- i am no expert so bother consulting your doc too cause he is the best person who can guide you right now

Yes that's true, if the urges get strong I just need to get stronger and resist them. I haven't started the treatment yet though and just want to know better what to expect. I am hoping it will make improvements in my mood and energy level that will actually make the struggle more consistently successful.

It will definitely affect your mood. Side effects of low testosterone are things like, low energy, lack of motivation, loss of sex drive. So when your testosterone goes back to normal you will most definitely feel better. But with that will also come increased sex drive. It's your job to control it, remember that you are in control.

Yes your sex drive will increase, but that's not a bad thing. Sex drive isn't your enemy. Dopamine and testosterone aren't your enemy. Your dick isn't your enemy. Your enemy is your lack of self-control over how you use those things. You shouldn't sacrifice healthy hormonal health for the purpose of making NoFap easier.

Low testosterone has way more side effects than PMO has to begin with. So you'll get more benefit from fixing that issue than you will from NoFap. So fix it, use the gel if it's what your doctor suggests, and then you'll start to really see NoFap benefits. With low testosterone I suspect you probably haven't notice anywhere near the benefits from NoFap that most people do. So once you get on TRT you should notice NoFap starting to become a lot more effective. :)
