Emergency; Suggestions?!

    Today I edged around noon (11-12 pm) without watching porn. Now I have cravings for MO'ing again to fantasies. I simply have two options now:

    1. Not to do anything. Continue abstaining and take up a great challenge for several days. I feel like this amount of craving will strengthen my nofap resolve if I continue to let go of them and weaken the addiction greatly. I notice I have urges to PMO after I meditate, as if my brain is feeling threatened that I'm recovering and it sends strong urges to make sure I stay that way. So the strong urges I have now maybe will make me enter a flatline if I abstain from them? and take great steps to my nofap recovery? Also, I haven't ejaculated so I think the retention of semen is still a big benefit. I don't have blue balls by the way.

    2. MO and just "finish it" to make the cravings go away.

    I do lean more towards the first one but the cravings are strong and I would need determination if I am to deal with them.I would appreciate it if anyone who reads this gives me advice as to what is best in this situation. I want to settle this. It's either this or that.

    Don't do it. Get out of your house and go do something that takes your mind off of it. The temptation will decline once you get your mind off of it.

  3. It sounds to me that #1 is the best option. It may feel agonizing but you'll feel better on the other side of it. #2 is guilt inducing.

    The suggestion made above is a good one. Try getting out of the house, go jogging, eat a meal if you have done so already. Find something that will give you some tangible sense of satisfaction. Any errands or nagging tasks that you can do and check off the list?

    If you don't want to leave the house, pick a room and clean it ceiling to floor. Use your the energy behind your obsession to M.O. for the benefit of something or someone else.

    Your counter suggests you reached a goal. That is awesome. Maybe set another goal?

    I reached day 4 last night and it's now the weekend, my first nofap weekend. I had a stressful week at work. i caught myself starting to touch myself last night. i clearly want to PMO but i'm going to 1) take 15-20 mile bikeride, 2) do laundry, 3) clean house and 4) take a friend to dinner. that is my nofap plan today.

    Thanks guys. I cleaned up my room. Took me 4-5 hours! and now I'm going to exercise like a beast. I'll also make another counter tomorrow at 5-5:30 (those times are those when I have the most luck or positive energy). I know what to do!
    The only reason I made 2 an option was because people say you should finish it after you edge.

    good luck in your next goal. It's our choice! don't let the mind convince you otherwise. It's either now, 1 year later, or 30. Why not now? let's kill this habit.

    So an alcoholic smells a bottle and then he drinks it just to finish it? What logic is that mate srsly get hard and resist.

    I agree that it doesn't seem to have any logic to it. But I can relate when fapstronauts say you should NOT edge, and if you do, you should just MO to be rid of the agitation. The reasons they say this, I think are:

    1. So fapstronauts would NOT edge at all in any circumstance.
    2. So fapstronauts get rid of the agitation and intense cravings they will have for the next several days. They say it's probably easier to just be patient with the reset.
    3. So you would get rid of or prevent blue balls (but this happens when you edge 2-3 times in a row).

    One of the reasons I don't agree with, however, is this:

    4. Many or most fapstronauts think it's the porn part that is harmful, and masturbation and orgasm are "normal" or "should be moderated". This is why they think that edging is a reset because porn was in the equation. However, I know very well that it's the masturbation and orgasm part that are really harmful, and porn is merely something that makes you masturbate. Though I still think that porn and MO are very connected, as one thing always led to another in the case of almost every masturbator.
    But I still didn't orgasm and retained the semen that my body went through all the trouble making. If I ejaculate, my back pain, eye bags, fatigue, motivation, confidence loss, voice weakness...etc will come back. But I have to face the intense cravings I will have for the next few days. Even while I'm writing this, the cravings are there in the back of my head waiting to be fulfilled.

    Pretty much your #1 is the way you should go. On my last streak a few weeks in I looked at some P because I had the urge to do so. I had a fee urges in my time but that usually lasted a few hours.

    Well, when I looked at the P it set me back and I was stuck with the urges for a few days. It goes to say if you edge you will be stuck with it much longer than if you just let the urge go away on its own. Just my 2 cents. Best to keep your hands busy doing something else than to uhm, edge. :D

    Yes I will OWN the urges :D as it is clear for me now as to what to do. I actually look forward to the challenge!

    Sadly, I relapsed last night and today too... I lay there for 15 minutes owning my urges but I made the choice to "test it". Testing soon became masturbating and that soon sent me to hell.

    Now try to go longer this time. In the end you will have a bigger total of days without PMO if you only slip a couple of times in the middle.

    Now I realise that it has a lot to do with choice, I mean my relapses in the last 3-4 months! If I just make my choices right and expect the mental resistance, I will prevail.
