Enough is enough!

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Buddhist Athlete, Nov 17, 2015.

  1. OK! So as the title suggests, I've had enough of this crap!
To give you a brief background about me, I was introduced to porn at age 12. And everything in my life is screwed up since then! I'm 21 now and I've seen 9 years of suffering - one after another! I've seriously had it enough... don't even wanna talk about it or explain the shitty mess!
I had a no PMO streak of 40 odd days until October. But then I relapsed and bingeing since then. I'm single, without a college, without much friends, without a job - just a useless nut! I've cried for my ex-GF for 3 years and kept texting her for years even though she has never replied! I wanna effing get over it now. Quit my lonely life and do something meaningful with it. I need to revive my academics and reputation! I've come to such tragic point that now I just wanna quit my religion too and follow the Buddhist path! Follow the Buddha's philosophy...
If this doesn't work work now, I'll just do something extremely terrible with myself..
    Enough is just enough!

  3. Hey my friend, you seem to be talking like no PMO is everything in life. Everyone fails man, everyone fall, everyone relapse, every relapse teaches you something about yourself.. learn from your mistakes buddy. If you never fall in life, you will never fly. Do you know what is the biggest gift you got right now???

    "YOU ARE BREATHING"

Which means, you are alive! which means, literally anything in this world is possible.

There is a beautiful world waiting for you outside porn and sexual desires buddy. Love your life, love everyone around you, respect life for what you have been gifted with, there are many in this world who ain't got the basic needs, ain't got a proper functioning body, ain't got the love they are craving for, yet they sleep peacefully hoping that life would offer a better tomorrow. And we!! Having got everything, yet we blame life for not having this, not having that! Wake up my friend, go make things happen.. Don't sit and cry thinking about your past life.. Think that "as you walk, the earth behind you is falling, and the earth in front of you is waiting with its arms open welcoming you for a better tomorrow"... Never look back, that isn't the way to live life!

  4. Thanks man! I was just furious over myself for bingeing for 20 days after a nice streak of 45 days... Just needed someone to reply to me.. answer my frustration.. I know I must overcome this habit too and become self sufficient. I will try my best in future. Just hoping to start a streak.. the initial weak is the most difficult! I've had enough man.. just tired now of my life.. but you're right! I'll try my best! I will walk on the path of Buddha now.. seek wisdom - the true jewel! Thanks again!

You are 21 and you are aware of this shit is killing you. That's more than half way of success in my view. It will only get better and easier while you are moving in your journey. It's like starting a journey with lots of unnecessary stuff you carry and as you walk further you throw away some weight and also as your weight gets lighter, you get stronger, faster, cleaner and more energetic. Your 20's are gonna be full of joy. You can do this.

Just remember that you are 100% responsible for everything that happens in your life. You are responsible for choosing PMO and that's why you have an addiction. You are also responsible if you are living a shitty life and you're not doing anything to improve it. I remember one quote saying "If you are born poor, it's not your fault; if you die poor, it's your fault." So take responsibility for your life and make it worthwhile!

You've already come so far by recognizing you have a problem and can see the effects it had on your life, something many of us are blind to until we reach a breaking point. It's appeared you've reached that breaking point and now it's time to turn everything around and start living the life you were meant to live.

You've obviously got the drive and fire to quit based off your 40 day streak, so don't beat yourself up over the relapse. Just use it as a learning experience and try to think about any benefits you may have had during your streak. And if you didn't have much, just read many of the success stories here to give you some motivation that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The great thing about baggage is that it's not physically connected to your body. Dump out your suitcase full of worthless junk and move on down the road

It seems like you are at the point where you can turn it all around for the better. Look at it this way, we've all seen movies where the character starts off on a bad path, where their life is messed up but they always get it together. Do that, see your life as a movie and be the hero of it! Sometimes you have to hit the bottom to be able to bounce back up. It seems like you want to change and that is already alot of the work done. Now you have to act upon it and bring what you want into reality. Keep strong buddy, we're all here for similar reasons!

  19. Well said man! It struck me! I'll remember this... thank you :)

  20. Thank you.. you're right! This is like a movie.. I cannot even explain the man I was just two months back! Now time for the movie to take a turn.. not only I'm the hero but also the director here.. and I'm gonna create one hell of a movie.. somehow, someday, I'll just make it all worth it! Thank you....
