Though I do believe in God and try to live as I believe God wants me too I'm not a Christian . Regardless I think your posts are beautiful and I wish you great success.

Thank you! I have a story to tell--one which I am becoming more comfortable with sharing even in real life. My communication and even posts on here are becoming a representation of God's work in me. I am grateful to Him for working on and through me :)

    1. 3 days.
    2. 3 days.
Part of me does not feel like 3 days is very much, but it's 3 clean days to add to the rest of the progress I've made. This is a new day that the Lord has made!
    3. Finished with school.
    4. Things are looking up for my relationships with my friends. The only issue is that I'm still in my childhood home and have not yet found anything.
    5. Hanging out with my friend I met this summer was beneficial to learning how to communicate with women. I look at my posts from my other journal and can see the difference in my thought process. It's almost unreal how talking to a woman has changed the way I communicate overall.
    6. I am on fire to serve the Lord. I am completely sold out to be a minister. My new goal is to read and study the Bible more and work on my sermons. I need also to find an avenue to practice my sermons, since opportunities at this point are scarce. I really need to find a church to serve in. (Obviously, there are some details I'm not sharing here)
    7. Improve family relationships
Spending so much time in my home of childhood has caused me to realize more things than could easily be shared here. The dysfunction is still there. It feels really bad to be mistreated and consistently reminded of the way I was treated growing up. If I had the option to change one thing about this, it would be for my family to support my calling to ministry. Again, I don't want to go into too much detail here, but I scarcely have ever been supported by anyone to go into ministry other than by God. But... He is the most important. Romans 8:31, "...If our God is for us, who can be against us?"

My memory is getting better. The rebooting process is having a very evident effect. The Lord is moving in my life!

The changes that are happening in my life are truly amazing. I will have to make time to journal about them. They really belong in my success thread. I'm starting to focus on improving my work ethic, social skills, and Bible study skills. The Lord is making me into the man that He wants me to be!

    Update to this thread.

    1. Completely quit PMO
At 5 days. Praise the Lord.
    2. Completely abstain from sexual release until married
At 5 days. God is making it more clear who He wants me to marry.
    3. Abstain from alcohol, drug, and tobacco related products
This is going very well. Thanks be to God.
    4. Grow closer to family
Still difficult. The pandemic has brought us closer, though.
    5. Grow as a church leader and advance my ministry career
The pandemic has adversely affected this. Praying and growing closer to God and Scripture.
    6. Improve social anxiety, especially as it relates to women
I'm still quite introverted. I'm not sure, but I think that I will do well when the Lord places another woman in my life. Praying for my future wife. Praying not to objectify women as I have--as I did when I originally wrote this goal.
    7. Grow more comfortable with myself and who I am
This is something to reflect on.
    8. Continue to grow closer to God
I am closer to God than I was last year. I am completely sure of His love and the truth of the Holy Scriptures. I long to serve Him. He has called me, and all that I need to do is to obey Him.

Have not updated this for a while, because I do not like being reminded of some of the things in this and the other original journal. I want to wish all of you well, who follow this and the other journal.
