It's funny how your subconscious tries to trick us.

I find on several occasions that I have gotten into a series or movies on Netflix just because it has a hot actress.

Seems innocent enough, but it is not. Even though she is fully clothed, I was still lusting over a digital representation of a women, and giving my "Id" the little boost of dopamine it was looking for.

For a porn addict, watching even a simple TV series with a sexy actress is like an alcoholic having a sip of beer. It is bound to lead to escalation.

Next thing .... you are Googling "Jane Smith in a bikini" ....."Jane Smith kissing", etc

So ..... I am not letting myself watch movies with any sexiness. No arousal from a screen .....ever. :)

And for someone with a vivid imagination it leads to fantasies and a possible relapse. I'm currently following Doctor Who and The Big Bang Theory but I'm unsure if I should resume Game of Thrones next season. If i stay on my current streak I would be over 200 days and that will probably help me avoid a relapse. I want to follow a Hard Mode for 120 days after which I want to resume watching images/videos with provocative content (non-nude), nudity in a movie or tv show (non-pornographic), and any other visual aid that would lead to arousal. The idea is to control my mind to not be aroused and also not actively avoid 'normal' day-to-day triggers. In the meantime, I'm skipping through the sex scenes or i'll be watching the edited versions.

You are rightly cautious about resuming Games of Thrones, even when you have 200 days under your belt. Ten days ago, I had to reset at 211 days. :( Seven months on hard mode did not guarantee that I would continue without a slip up. It is not just the tits and ass and sex in that programme. It is the sexual objectification of men and women dramatized for entertainment. I would advise against it. Having cleaned yourself up, why splash about in the dirty puddle that is GoT? o_O

It passes, What a reboot is, is training to not masturbate to porn, your not training it to not have a sex drive.

The fact of the matter is when you are off the porn, even small things that didnt turned you on before will start to have effects. A guy off porn tends to have a far healthier libido.

But After a while your brain comes out of withdrawals, so its not constantly pushing you for its dopamine fix and get you masturbating.

    For two reasons -

    1) I like the show. I don't want to stop it a few seasons before it is supposed to end.

    2) More importantly, I want to be able to come to terms with nudity/provocative visuals in the ordinary course of things. See them but also be able to control how/what i think. I don't want to avoid things just cause of a trigger.
