Hey guys and gals. Something really weird just happened and I need some clarification. I've been doing some moderate working out, just some weights and planks, nothing too strenuous, but enough to feel the burn and the aches the next day. Normally, I don't really get that amazing feeling after working on my arms, but these planks are SOMETHING ELSE. I just did my longest plank of about 30-40 seconds (I know, not that impressive, but I've been a couch potato pretty much my entire life). Has anyone else experienced this crazy feeling of euphoria after them, like a wave of happiness, seriously I just sat down and laughed out loud, it was pure bliss, perhaps this is a good thing to get somewhat addicted to? Also another strange thing I've noticed: Spoiler: TMI? It seems almost orgasmic, like I'm about to... well you know, it's slightly off putting and I don't really want to go in my undies while I'm doing planks, is there a risk of this happening? Anyway, just a couple of things I wanted to get some insight on, cheers!
I had a similar feeling minus the point where it felt like an O when I was playing football after 50 days of nofap.
Yeah it happens to me thats why i go to gym everyday ahahah its a very good feeling keep with it ! You have it its a goood signal
It'd be nice if gyms were open here, sadly I'm confined to this shitty little box room, so I'm making the most of what I can do. Honestly it's pathetic how weak I am, considering my size, I'm 230 pounds, lots of fat but definitely some muscle, somehow my legs are very defined, despite not really working them out at all. I think there's a fit dude in there somewhere, I just wanna bring him out and feel good for once.
I've always wanted to feel the "pump" that people go on about during/after a workout or the "runner's high" after well, you know, a run. Unfortunately though all I feel is tired. I think this is in someway tied into the anhedonia/lack of feel good chemicals due to years of porn, hopefully I'll experience it some day.
Give planks a try, no other exercise gives me a high compared to them, it's honestly crazy how much my mood improves, even just doing them for like 30 seconds.
I feel you , here gyms are closed also the fucking coronalovers bastards want to fuck all people lives , fortunally my country situation is getting better and i pray and hope next month they will open again! Dont worry fat people usually are stronger than skinny people and can gain more muscle easier than skinny people if you see the powerlifters most of them are quite fat but at same time muscled! Having strong legs is great , it will help on doing exercises easier
I've never experienced such a thing during strength workout, that is strange, but doesn't seem dangerous, so I would say: enjoy it.
I feel great whilst running, kinda like a zen moment because you're so focused on breathing. Strength training is great, I've yet to feel it super strongly, but beating your PB weight + reps on something like bench press is an amazing feeling. Keep at it brother.
Quick update, it seems this exercise business is a huge mood improver, coupled with nofap. Before, whenever I tried working out, I just didn't have the drive, and I certainly didn't feel better afterward, but with nofap, it's like I have no choice but to push forward and do things, thus gaining motivation and a kind of happiness, things are improving for sure. My OCD is getting quieter, sure it's still there but it's like, easier to ignore, couple of months ago I really wanted to just die, crying on the shower floor. Today, I just kind of want to live, work and move on with my life, it's quite nice. I think I'll be making this my new go to for dopamine, if that's what it is, because it's hard, it takes effort and the payoff is a thousand times better than jacking it in front of the monitor all day.
Magnificent progress. I too have experienced similar feelings during workouts or long walks in the countryside. I'd best describe it as "a surge of blissful power", but in reality it's just endorphins and a good mood. Nothing bad or abnormal with it. Enjoy it.
yeah, its a good feeling. i only really get that doing runs. when that rhythm and breath sync, feels good.
